Black locust
Thorny Black Locust is it. Thanks for identifying it. Now I just got to find a way to get rid of them and keep them from spreading. Those thorns are a literal pain in my side.
@@rustedpliers1618 Cut them low and keep the area mowed. Sometimes a thorn remains in one’s side.
How do this with my Bose, I'm struggling
I think you will need something like this. amzn.to/3YeRaTl The bose system makes it harder, if not it's drip in replacement.
What about steering wheel controls for volume and changing stations? Are those functions retained?
Mine didn't have steering wheel controls but it should keep them. What year is yours? I did one for a 13 - 18 nissan altima and the steering controls still worked great. This was the radio used for that. amzn.to/4dua7Wz
@@rustedpliers1618 '07. I just asked because it's a common question and we'd like to keep that functionality. Some after market units come with harness adapters to retain the feature. With others, it's an extra purchase.
Dual purpose. Gate and mud remover.
Just remember you gotta come back out after you finish the field.
Might just leave it til next season HA.
@@rustedpliers1618 I've been guilty of that
Great install video!!
Thanks! Hope it helps.
@@rustedpliers1618 it definitely did, I installed it today and I LOVE IT
Wow so cool!
Good video. Do you have the schematic on which wires are the speaker wires? Thanks
I never could find one.
@@rustedpliers1618 do you remember what color wires you used for the speakers? Did you happen to take down the headliner? If so -- where are the snaps or screws for the liner?
Great job!!!
Wish i had access to one of these, im stuck with good ol fashioned machete and rake lol
Most of the time that's what I use too. You can do alot with a good pair of loppers.
Very very helpful.
I appreciate that feedback!
Why won’t mine pop on when I turn my car on did everything right but not working
The entire screen won't turn on?
Where did you get the right-angle bracket?
A coffee can in my garage haha. It was just a hinge that I glued in place. I don't really use the offline gps bc if I use maps, it is connected to my phone.
@@rustedpliers1618 got you. Maps it is. How is the radio performance so far?
@@kevo8111definitely an upgrade having android auto and Apple car play.
@@rustedpliers1618 awesome. Thanks for the response
Would the placement be the same on all cars? I have a RAV4
Yes
Where can I find a wiring diagram for the remote? Remote fell off the back of the ATV wires pulled out of the starter and PTO no idea where the wires connect to.
I couldn't find one. Awhile back mine wouldn't start. Nothing when I went to crank it, even on a hot battery. I took the plate off that has the dirty hands logo behind the tow bar. One of the wires had corroded and pulled apart. I spliced it back and it started right up. I would recommend checking there.
are your door speakers still working.
Yes. I've had this happen a few times and it hasn't damaged the speakers.
I am installing on my 5055E. Where are speakers located?
They are already there in the cab. I'm surprised it comes with speakers and not a factory installed radio.
Very informative video, I didn't realize these tractors even had an internal oil filter..wonder if my 8N has one like that? As an aside, I have noticed several of these tractors listed for sale on Marketplace listed as "Massive Fergusons"..I wonder is that is some type of AI generated typo, or are people really thinking that is what they are?....
I'm sure the 8n has a hydraulic filter as well like this. That is probably an autocorrect but may be a scam bot.
If I wanted to go further than clearing the land or grass and shrubs. Additionally would I use a tiller or sod cutter to gravel the land beside the brush hog....
Thanks for your very nice video.
Thank you for the reply hope it helps!
Is this stain oil or water based please? No issues with chipping or peeling? Thanks!
Cabot Deck Correct is an oil-based paint. It is an aliphatic petroleum distillate. Mine has held up pretty good after a year, though I have read other reviews of people complaining about peeling.
yay!! it worked!! you definitely owe a big THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
Hi
Great video! Quick question, what hydraulic fluid do you use? Thx
M-1129A or equivalent. Look on the bucket and see if it is listed.
MF 135 here(not sure the year). One year after brother in law died when he flipped it on himself, I finally got around to seriously trying to get it running again and drove it half mile or so to get it back to his property. Been on cousin’s all this time. Complete novice on tractors but it’s finally home on his 47th birthday. Being that it was flipped for 3 or 4 hours, everything ran out. No hydraulics available so had to leave bottom plows (for now) and couldn’t get out first gear. Can I likely just fill and check hydro fluid to get that part to work.
Sorry to hear that story about your brother in law. Alot of people who aren't around this stuff don't realize how difficult and dangerous it is operating the farm equipment that feeds the world and takes care of our lands. The next tractor I buy will have roll bars as a precautionary. Checking the fluid and adding some if needed would be a good start. It has to have enough fluid to run through the hydraulic pumps.
You're awesome...thanks
Your welcome maybe it helped. I appreciate the comment!
Regular push mower would work just as well
Ok Sure.
Does the 1022 only require 0.6 L of gear oil?
I checked the manual for the cutter bar oil and the 1017 holds 2.4 Liters, the 1022 holds 2.9 Liters, and the 1024 holds 3.1 Liters.
@@rustedpliers1618 My manual for my DM 1024 calls for 2.2 L for the cutter bar, printed June 2020.
Interesting, I double checked my manual and it says what I have above. it's probably printed 2017/2018. It also says you can check with a dipstick til theirs 1/4" to 3/8" of oil on it.
Self propel forward only? Or does it have reverse?
Forward and reverse are self propelled.
An experience I found from someone else with similar issues "I have a LA145 that Has 715 hours on it and lately it started slowing down almost to a stop on hills and would speed back up when the ground leveled out. The belt was replaced back in the spring. After watching countless videos about this symptom I bought a rebuild kit from the hydrostatic transmission and installed it Last weekend. Bled it out and jumped on it and guess what? It was doing the same thing as before. What it ended up being was the pulley on the input shaft. It wasn't stripped but it was badly worn in the v. I replaced it this morning, and now it climbs those hills like a billy goat! Just wanted to throw this out there for other viewers to see before they shell out $476 on a rebuild kit when a $21 pulley was all it was." Same here in South Carolina. Love them little guys.
I'm not a bug fan but there something cool and eerie about these little creepers.
I had one and gave it away. It was the most frustrating machine I've ever owned. It was impossible to keep a belt on it, and the belts aren't easy to replace. I would spend an hour and a half replacing the belt and as soon as I tried to engage the blades, it would throw the belt again, or just break it. The factory was no help. The machine had other issues and the last I heard the company was in bankruptcy. I HATED THAT MACHINE!!!
When you cant get parts or service, It's understandable that they went out of buisness. I haven't had to replace the belts yet but had to weld the wheel bracket because they turned inward.
They say the females before they lay their eggs and die, can be grilled and taste like buttery lobster
I'll have to take your word on the taste. But lobsters are kinda like bigger bugs in the water
I am 67 years old now. Had many mowers. The D130 I have brought in 2012 and run hard, been trouble free. At 450 hours it move great for 20 mins and slows down when it's getting warm up. It's has lasted better than any other mower and will keep buying JD if possble. Biggest thing is trouble free. As of now I mow a bit and let it cool down. I have a hilly 2 ar yard. It may be better to buy a new one as getting the trans rebuild would be costly. There is also a recall on some JD mower due to trans problems . Tenn hills are hard on a mower.
My washer hums at the panel when i do that?
I have a d 130 that's doing same yet fan is OK. ?What do I need to do Now?
May be problems upside the transmission such as a clogged filter or weak pump. I would also recommend checking the tightness of the drive belt
I have the same problem, I have a D 170 ( was told it hydraulic fade ) need to change the hydraulic pump ( expensive, and not sure it the problem
The blue wire is for a electric antenna to go up and down if i remember right
I believe your right, so In this case it's not needed.
Are the speakers already in it? Looking at doing this on a 5101
Yes. The speakers are already there. I wondered the same thing too when I got started. So all you need is the radio unit.
Can I rent your cows? Our grass is taller than our goats!
Sounds like you need more goats.
Nice tall Feed their gonna be Shiting up a storm!!!🤣🤣🤣micr group of Black Cows!!!
iv a jcb 531 telehandler would it be an easy job ??
Should be similar process. I think the radio panel is right above the ignition.
Shoot guess I'll check my local Ollies before I spend $200 at Lowes. Dang I wish I could find that deal.
Surpisingly I have found out Ollies stores vary across towns. We got one that always has pallets of stain and paint and another that doesn't.
How Did you know about the harness? If i can do for another John Deere tractors.
The harness is standard for stock radios. I would think there's a good chance it would work for all john deere or tractors.
There’s nothing in this video about the filter.🤦♂️
Link to filter in the description. At 3:40 mark I point out the filter. Screw the top cap off and pull the old filter out and replace with new filter.
I just picked up a 1024 yesterday. How do you like them?
I really like it. The 3 blades per head seems to provide a nice clean finish compared to 2 blades per head. I had an old Vicon before and now the Kubota is the same design.
If the unit is well maintained, like anything, it treats you well. I don't particularly care for the stand on the units. In terms of cutting, I use a MF 5445 and it mows through first and second cut like butter. The kickback safety feature is great and can easily be reset.
One year later and the deck still looks great!
Fixed it 👏
My first thought of note was that you missed the mold on the side of the stairs facing the camera, before you proceeded to go back home and post the video in reverse. 😂 Looks good though
Haha. Glad you get the humor.
NEWHOLLAND TL90 SUPPORT?
Should be very similar.
