How do you get your articulation so crisp? And your slurs so legato and connected?
Hi Trevor! Thank you for these kind words. One thing that I like to do is to closely listen to and watch string players. The ability of string instruments to play true glissandi is something I've always envied, so when I play a slurred or legato interval - particularly a big one - I often imagine all of the notes in between. For crisper articulation, the visual of a deliberate bow stroke fills me with energy and intention. Hope that can help!
