In this video, I explore how the psychological climate of Indian households shapes our individuality, inspired by Carl Jung’s quote, “Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially on their children than the unlived life of the parent.” Drawing from my experiences, I discuss the pressures of rigid hierarchies, career molds, hidden lives, and how to break fr...
your loneliness is your meditation

This is a mantra I keep reciting because it came to me in a moment of clarity. It’s a powerful reframe of what we often call loneliness, transforming it into something more meaningful and introspective. over these holidays, i purchased Jordan peterson's Past authoring program because it is rather difficult to ask yourself the right questions to lay out your story, often these stories remain in our minds, and people are poor listeners, writing straightens it out and gives you freedom. instagram:@Deecannotbe

"I don’t care what other people think." That was my mantra-until a conversation with my friend revealed the truth: the "other" was me. I realized my inner voice, shaped by others' expectations, was the real problem. In this video, I explore how I’ve started treating that voice as separate, mending my relationship with it, and breaking free from old patterns. instagram: @deecannotbe #SelfDiscove...

I appreciate you!

I have to carry myself apologitecally. I have to apologize to my parents for being a financial liabilty for doing Master's abroad. I have to apologize since I have been kicked out of all of the part time/casual jobs in Australia. If we are on student visa, we arw beggars/slaves. We have to apologize for being in a different country because we are outsiders
you dont have to apologize, you have every right to be in that country as long as you aren't ruining the peace
captured my situation perfectly, thankyou for sharing this🫶🏼
Thank you for this :)
I'm South African and this whole phenomenon is the same in many households. As the years go by it's getting easier because I don't easily back down haha. You gave really effective advice. "Slowly introduce yourself to them." It works. It depends on how hard you push yourself to be authentic. Only then will it be effective. Boundaries are important. Communication is important. Respect and love is important.
Something about you keeps me catpivated, I feel Something when I listen to speak these things and then I almost cry too. I am truly unsure why and how I feel this way whenever I listen to you but I am glad someone can articulate what I feel too

5:10 - this is so real. I am working on a video on lonliness and this was an arc that I was exploring as well. You start to forget your life if you dont have anyone to tell it to. Have you watched The Lunchbox? It has a similar theme.
@@lovexsanika I have! And it hit me like a truck
this is a similar conversation I recently had with a friend. I’ve had an everyday friend until very recently, I think this is the first time in my life that I do not. And it feels like a very uncomfortable situation to be in initially but also it sort of was a reality check because the everyday friend would be a different friend throughout the years and it was always the same story. One of you would catch feelings, the other wouldn’t, some possessiveness or new environment factor would come into play end things and you’d have to do it all over again with a new person. And now I think most of us have reached a point where we’ve exhausted ourselves of the energy to start that sort of everyday conversation with a new friend? Hence we choose to not text when we’re lonely. It’s like u want to do it because that’s what you’re used to but also a part of your mind is not ready to go through that all over again. Idk your video just reminded me of that conversation and I’m just thinking out loud here.
@@thatsnotevenwhatimeant yeah that’s usually how it goes with everyday friend, and at some point you exhaust that capacity
Keep it up ❤️
i feel what you're going through, and it's like you've explained it so well, i can understand what you're saying when i can't even put this situation into words.

I enjoy watching you talk sooooo much that I might just be in love.
This touched my soul ❤
:3
I’m in that business
love you man
love you too
To receive love the way one can give to another, one must know and accept themselves in their soul's reality more than their ego's defenses. Now its not inherently bad to have an ego. But where you chanel your ego is where the strength to accept love lies. Lot of people find it easier to give love because it's the ego's way of convincing them into thinking they're ready to recieve love without having to addresses the deep rooted fear of intimacy or their insecurities. Sometimes we tend think "if only I find someone that loves me for all that I am..." but truth is most of us would run away or sabotage the situation if we are not ready to look within or aligin within ourselves. All that we try to seek through loving is within ourselves. The best way to chanel that is to be in a relationship with oneself, make the ego fall in love with your soul and when you want to involve someone else into this relationship, it shouldnt feel like you're cheating on yourself. Rather, like a polyamours relationship.

Parent build career and then again the children have to start their career from 0, not from where the parent left. That's why parents are always scared that their next generation never go lower class from middle class. There is sheer competition for middle class teenagers from low class as they are awared and govt helps them too.
I appreciate your video titles

In a typical Indian household, parents aren't actually sacrificing for their kids, but investing on them..😂😂. Harsh, but true.
why can't both? and what's wrong with that?....imagine you being on the other side receiving financial investment without giving back a great amount of real hope or strongly promising that you will be useful in future?
Not all parents are same
Privileged ig, but not every parent has the luxury of choosing what their kids should do, and money isn’t everything. It doesn’t decide if parents let their kids follow their own path. I’ve seen folks from low-income families chasing their dreams, while high-income parents push their kids into some set plan. It’s always about the individual. A lot of people are just trying to make ends meet, so when parents invest in their kids’ futures, it means something. Your comment seems out of touch and doesn’t reflect most people's reality. Instead of throwing around a careless comment online, maybe explain what you're really trying to say.
@@amxit It can't or rather shouldn't be both because you bring the child into the world, you owe him your everything, not the other way around. I'm all for the support of taking responsibility for parents BUT that desire should arise from the love they nurtured in you, not an obligation to return an investment.
This is something else, instant sub, keep up the work, want to see more

Indian parents are blamed for this. They destroy our confidence since childhood
We are dependent on others for be with our own identity. This identity of "I" is taken or adopted and not reality of our existence.
Its all the identity which we acquire from external material illusion i.e. the Universe. The EGO it is .Not the arrogance though but a spectrum of identity.
Brother you are talking about Consciousness.Mark my words it's a core philosophy of Advait Vedanta and of formless God within.
You can't say it's absolutely silence but it's a door to the inevitable Loneliness doesn't always mean to be fearful but guiding light towards ultimate freedom.
I always wanted to talk about stuff like this, but I don't have enough knowledge, and I always hoped for someone to speak about it, to communicate, to share, to relate. Thanks, suggestions and advices on how to tackle stuff with Indian parents is what always I look for. Sure the the internet is vast but I don't seem to find an actual help.
