Does anyone know why my slide will not return to battery after reassembly? Have checked that the spring and plate are in the correct place but the slide will not hold tension. I thought it had something to do with the take-down button spinning freely, but the weight of it should be be enough to press the plate down? Any advice is much appreciated

I was just watching "The Lincoln Lawyer" after Matt gets shot in the end by the woman the camera pans over slowly and shows a 6" woodsman with pearl grips ....who ever thought of this was for sure a "gun guy "

Struggling to get the main spring housing out, safe to use a rubber mallet on the pin from the top of thr frame?

Thank's for share the explanation. I recomend you to put a shim of plastic, like a credit card beetwen the face of the slide to prevent the firing pin hit the chamber. Grettings from Argentina
