Maybe 14-18 knots - bumps were waist high or so and this is the typical SSE we get that shows up same day - no big area of fetch to create a fast moving swell.

Uni! I did two runs that day one was on the 170 and another the Prog 200. Times were almost the same, just a little straighter line on the 200.

I'd say think about what you'd like to get out of it, commit, and go for it. Travis has so much support that there won't be any questions left unanswered. There's an entire mentor program for new paddlers and help to get you set up and stay in touch with you from start to finish. Training is for sure the most important thing, so I'd also recommend Seychel's program unless you're really confident in writing an ultra program on your own. It's a big commitment but an amazing paddle.

Thanks Lloyd. I haven't ridden another SUP foil to compare it to but it's super fun. So far I haven't found any major shaping regret on the size, but I'm really new at this. Once I get some skills I've been warned that I may be wanting to cut even more foam off. So far I've only ridden it in small surf but hope to give it a go downwind.
