Thanks a lot, I am so happy I found this. I am in a depressed state currently but I also recognize my successes of the past years. I got a lot of good things done and without them, I would be off worse.

I think too, many of Paul's writings were to the churches of that day and age, and perhaps some of the teachings should remain in that context, but that's more of a case by case thing. But if taken out of context, can definitely lead to problems in today's church

Your thoughts are very interesting. Watching each video makes me think a bit more each time. Jesus, no doubt, is and should be the one we look to know and emulate. I think Paul's writings are good, but nothing comes close to the power and authority of the gospels and the life and teachings of Jesus. I don't think you're off the mark with this stuff. I think a challenge then is to ask questions like, does that not mean Paul's works are inspired by God, or not fruitful for teaching? Or is the problem simply in putting him over Jesus, because I'd agree with that

As someone who follows you with your costuming, and with your counselling/ teaching, I really admire your creativity and energy. It's encouraging to see a Bat buddy who is also a follower of Christ

There are so many things we share in common. I took the same approach to chores with my kids at early ages for the same reason. Childhood only happens once and then we spend so much time trying to recreate those feeling and memories. We also share a love of video and movies. I pray for your safe travels the next few days. Hey Paul, I agree with where you are going with this. You cannot legislate morality. You have to chose to follow God's law no matter what man's law is. Also, I love the 10 Commandments with Charlton Heston. Great movie!

Television may be new but you are correct that this is a system that dates back to Christ's time. The marketing of religion and dependence on some formula or individual to help guide you has been exploited especially on the poorest and most underserved of society for centuries. That is why we should seek the individual relationship with Christ.

It is definitely becoming more and more common for people to question others who do read the Bible. Unbridled capitalism is contrary to Christ's highest commandment in my opinion. I am very glad you are putting some new videos out.

Hey Paul, my friend ! I’m in the audience too ! Nice video. I like the « perceptive » approach, that it’s often in the way we see the problems. Sometimes, I realize myself that, like you said, it’s often the way that you see the things. We choose the glasses that we want to wear to see the life with. These glasses are generally the reflect from the way we’ve been raised and or past experiences (what we recorded of). Once you changed glasses you’re looking in, you see the same situation differently. That’s often what it happens to me. I think that your videos would deserve to have more viewers because they could help to open the mind and eyes to many people that need it. We have to reject the idea that fear of the unknown is a valid reason to act in a way that is definitely not Christ like. We should have no fear because when we act in the name of Christ then he will provide. Do our heavenly Father not provide for the birds of the air and the beasts in the field? Are we not greater than they? Surely our Father will provide for us and more so when we act in his name with true faith and charity. That is my solem belief.

I agree that modern churches may be a place to start your journey from but you have to seek Christ's teaching yourself. You cannot get there just going to a building and listening to sermon after sermon. You have to seek it out and you have to study. I have some thoughts about how Peter's message evolved and the same with Paul. There unique experiences prepared them to understand the unseen plan and to trust that the Holy Spirit was working behind the scenes.

I think a lot of it may boil down to pride. Some people don't like to admit they need help so they don't want to reach out.

Hi Paul, I just discovered your conscious counselling channel. Pretty interesting. Well, if you allow me to comment on this, please I will. I don’t know at all this person. The only thing I know about her is that it’s an artist with perfectionism problems. Your video really joined me and what you said is totally true, for me at least, and I hope that this person will find some solutions in this videos. For example, you know that I am a drummer. Drum is something that is really important in my life since I am 12 (I am now 34). At the beginning, I simply played for fun, for everything drums and music should bring. Then, at high school, people start to compare myself to every other drummers in the school. Most played since 4-5 years and I was a beginner. I then started to do the same. I started to compare myself. Wanting to be better to play better, but it reached a point where I became perfectionism ; when I was on a gigs later, if I was not playing in a PERFECT way, I was not satisfied. When I was practicing, if it was not perfect like I wanted it be, I was not satisfied. At the end, I was never satisfied because it was NEVER perfect. What is the perfection ? I realized, maybe 1 year and half ago, that perfection for me was something that when I was able to reach, it was really ephemeral and these moments that I thought it was perfect, it was simply a state of mind. Yeah, a state of mind. I had the feeling that this night I was played perfectly but it’s just because I was in a good state of mind. It happens when I am relax, when I lowered my expectations about me, when I live in the present moment, when I just enjoy what I am doing and everything suddenly takes its place by itself. I have suddenly been able to remove my blinkers and been able to “look around me.” I play better in this state of mind than when I always want to reach more and more to be “perfect”. It doesn’t exist... Then, I can enjoy what I do, I can see the things for what they are and not for what they should be. I was the ONLY person to see these “imperfections”. What is perfection ? It’s so relative. What is perfect for me is maybe not perfect for you. It’s a circle with no ending. Now, i can take a step back and doing something else, like you said, Paul. And you know what, even with this step back, I play better on my drums. Furthermore, by our days, it’s SO easy to compare ourselves to others talents or whatever, with all UA-cam videos, with all TV shows that promote a false representation of what perfection should be (women body shape, singer contests and so on). There is so more than what we see on these platforms. These are great tools but we must using them with moderation. I think that we must enjoy every little things that we accomplish. Like the little proverb said “it’s with 1$ that you make 100$”, I would say “ it’s by doing and enjoying little things that you do big things” :) Thanks Paul for this interesting video. I think it is great the way you and your wife decided to make that decision to seek out what God wanted for your lives. I also agree that there is enough evidence in what is happening these days that any non-believers should at least be familiar enough with the teaching of Christ so they can make an informed decision on what "truth" is, regardless of faith.

Great video. Touches many subjects that I believe are not well in the world right now.I may ramble a bit here and please keep in mind they are my thoughts and opinions only.Peoples choices in life, be it occupational, spiritual, etc. are theirs. There is no two people who share the exact same experiences, beliefs or desires. Not even conjoined twins...LOL.There are deep divides right now and it seems "picking a side" is the topic du jour of mainstream conversations. There is the best of times ahead and it is people who ride the storm now and hold to their beliefs, share their experiences and use that combined knowledge of all that are willing to help us all as we are schlepping this rock as it floats around the sun.ALL KINDS of people and ideas are needed...even if you don't always agree on everything.We need creative types to balance our scientifically advancing society with music, the arts, leisure. Spiritual and non spiritual alike. You mentioned in your video about speaking to an atheist friend....atheist / friend....you can obviously bridge that gap and still enjoy their company : ) and that is how I believe we progress.When we care about people for who they are is where the human race grows....not for who they follow or what they believe or if they believe enough. I know there are extremes out there too but I think they are a much smaller group than most humans that want to be able to live, provide and be happy and my little rant does not include people who would bring hatred and harm.Messages of love and unity should be seen as such without so much focus on their source. I do not believe a bible quote should be negated by an atheist just for the sake that it was from the bible. Does it not mean it cannot also be true if it a good general life message??Wishing all who watched and read this peace and happiness in your life...that you choose to live it : )
