can this hinge be used on a aluminum gate

It is a sad world if you need a minute long video for an installation of a simple bracket.

I live in a windy area. I already have self-closing hinges. I am looking for soft-close hinges that wont speed up and close violently if the wind happens to catch the door. Will these hinges do the trick?

It states the wrench sizes needed to adjust the hinge closing tension, but which size wrench is used to adjust hinge width? annoying that neither the video nor the manual includes that information

Hinges and gates are working well... I'd like to remove the gates in order to avoid them being damaged with a moving job I plan to do coming up. How can I remove the gates and not disturb the hinge screws since they may "strip out" in the vinyl...??

If you lock it from the otherside can you open it from the opposite side?

I did it myself. I used Woodglut woodworking plans for this.

Can someone better explain, or provide a link, on how to adjust the spacing on each side, as shown in 2:22-2:42. That really didn't explain how to do it, or how it works.

These guys have been so nice to invent a sleek new hinge cover for the most complex looking hinge ever. I m trying to let people know that they have a plastic cover and it will break and weather and then the problem is going to be how ugly the inside is. And I might last forever or come lose. Ugly fake looking plastic. I don’t mean to be a bastard and blow the big secret for you guys. It’s a great honking hinge.. I will abide to that except it should aught to be upfront and open with the way it is. Hello customer. Now that you have your new hinge systems for an otherwise expensive and lifestyle change your mind every 5 years or more if your lucky. This is the hinge for the movers on the go. If you don’t plan on using your gate for long and you don’t want to learn anything new. Welllllllll You will get a little schooled in hinge placement except it’s not that hard. Just need to have those two sizes of wrench and a good strong back because it could fall... definitely a two person task forced. Plastic though. There’s a lot of metal parts and The Who thing is covered in plastic... It pisses me off because now that my idiot roommate put these on I can’t just order more expensive metal hinge covers. I’m stuck with these for the 5 years they last without breaking

I purchased this gate kit with the Freedom Emblem gate kit from Lowes....the kit was missing the hinge covers as shown here... all I got was the hinges... It looks unfinished without the covers... Lowe's didn't have any answers as to why it didn't come with covers...

So an intruder can just remove the screws and walk in without a key?

What if you have the aluminum sleeve inside the fence post, how can you mount this 2 sided lock?

I bought one of your Boerboel gates ready to assemble but the written instructions on installing are horrible. A video on how to assemble and attach it would be beneficial. Do I build the full gate first? Does it matter if I place the hinges at the same spot as the rails? How do I get a level gate placement while trying to attach it to the post? I'll keep looking but don't see this video anywhere.
