I personally would not call it a low quality clone. After all everything nowadays is a clone of some kind, just in its own way. The important part is that the game has its own touch

For some it might be surprising that I once again managed to f up my base and had to rebuild it. While being attacked mid build. To then figure out the camp is not big enough 😄

I can agree. And with the contact to the dev and the discord I can tell you, there will be no Bannerlord killer or such. He is trying to make a Dutch based game, as historically correct, as possible. Non the less, he is offering many ways to give people what they want. You can change the troops, make your own campaign and much more. Free movement, more or less, will be added soon he said. He is trying to add more and more or change it the way the majority would prefer. Tho it will never be like Bannerlord in the depth of possibilities.

I might give it a try, my biggest issue is the not enough food atm. Will have to see how that works for me.

Depends what you are awaiting. If you are okay with being a testing player, go for it. The dev is constantly working on updates (diplomacy and such rn) and is in contact with the community. Also adding so many possibilities to make the game more interesting. The community working on new campaigns atm too.

Well it is a hard nut. For people who like the survival grind aspect it is a good one. For me personally I missed a solid story, it was more or less missing the red string to follow. It felt like they made 100 quests and every 20th quest a thing happened. Did I enjoy it? To some point I did. Would I play it again or continue it for myself? No, I do not think so. It is a nice game, but not if you want a fleshed out heartful story.

Well it depends on what your expectations are. Manor Lords is one of a kind, but the slow overhaul towards unreal 5 and work on the upcoming update for troops, winter effects and fishery show that also these guys need a lot of time to change things. Same goes with Voor de Kroon, also small dev team. Check out the reveal of Darkmatter upcoming new game. Graphically it is missing something, but I guess that happens if you have no graphic designers.
