This thing is as quiet as a central air vent which surprises me! Certainly a better modern unit. Also cool how you can look out the window as it doesn’t take up as much space as a normal window unit.

Defrosting happened after I cleaned up my condenser fins with pressured water inside out and left water inside the bottom of unit because their is no exit hose in the bottom. Is my situation normal too with the white odorless smoke? Or it only happens when there is ice? I freaked out and turned off the units:)

Few questions I have, seeing as I’m planning to get one of these. 1. Why if your remote different than all the ones I’ve seen? 2. People say theirs starts to develop a high pitched whirring sound from the compressor or a clanking sound from the inside fan motor, have you experienced these? 3. People say it has a mold formation issue because the louvre closes after turning it off and doesn’t allow the condenser coils/fan blades to dry. (Workaround: Leave on fan mode for 30+ minutes before turning it off), have you experienced this either?

Soon as I opened the box and saw everything I needed to, I taped the box back up and returned it, lol. Noise bothers me less than the hassle of setting this thing up.

Do these have a low ambient control kit, or something like that so, you can run the AC when the outdoor air temperature is below 60°F? I can't be the only one that wants to cool and dehumidify a room to maintain the room temperature at 68°F with humidity at or below 45%. I got one of these inverter units. It makes this room 62°F by day and drops humidity to 34% when outdoor temp is 78°F with 60% humidity. My issue is that at night, outdoor temperature is below 60°F, often at 55°F, and humidity will be near 60%. Opening a window is not something I want to do. I want to keep humidity controlled below 45%. Keeping windows shut with an AC running on dry mode will do the job. But can I run this thing below 60°F all night, every night?
