I have literally never heard of another person named Ryer, glad to meet another Ryer, even if he's a ginger.
What size frame? Thanks

I just bought a Fx6 today .. I jumped from shooting videos on a cell phone and editing with Final Cut.. to buying a Sony fx6 and I have no idea how to work this.. from a newbie , I appreciate this video lol
Love to hear it!!
Ey yo that channel name is a vibe!
It’s all pretty much the same.
THANK U!!
For you is really better the fx6 than a camcorder (for outdoor or hunting)? Thanks
i had a problem with the screw for the lav mic actually coming off if the talent takes it apart, Rode was good enough to send me a half dozen no charge, the Deity mics have a locking screw that WILL NOT come off great susystem though.
Good to know!
Me every time i try to wake up in a school morning:
I have a protip for you guys on the 3.0 shoulder. Replace the tightening knob with a bigger knob. I was able to use one from a shooting rail that came with a ladder stand. Makes a big difference once it really gets cold out. I also replaced the wing nut for locking down the shoulder to the base with a thumb-knurled nut with a locktite bolt, so you don't have to worry about losing the wingnut and bottom plate. I wish there were more tree arm options out there but it's a pretty small market.
Really appreciate it brother!
Tutorial 😂
What is cash record sorry? Im from the UK so we might know it as something else. Tried googling but no results.
Cache is how it’s spelled.
Ok thanks. What is its definition?@@rednecktechtv
Nevermind you have a video about it..
How do you guys protect the camera while in the backpack? I’ve always wondered how specifically you haul the camera in the field.
If there is room we will wrap it in some clothes but if we are just doing a long walk out of somewhere we have done it with nothing. The cameras are tougher than you think.
There have been times where we just strap it on the outside too. Nothing worse than having to carry it in your hands for long death matches.
Got me a Doyles Huntin Hoist due to your recommendation and it is one the best pieces of hunting equipment that I've purchased in my life.
They are the best for sure.
Cool,greetings from ireland👍
Howdy! I was just in your neck of the woods last month!
Own all these
You have good taste!
bro didn't even leave the case model in the link or even say which case it was
We bought our cases at a military surplus store so there are not any visible markings on it and this particular one they don't make anymore but after some digging and measuring we figured out it is the same as the Pelican 1626.
Yall were the reason I got an fx6 and have started my videography journey. Keep it up yall
I’m just watching this video now bc my go pro 10 just died in like 20 min of fishing! I CHARGED IT LAST NIGHT! Pure trash, and I bought TWO lol
Well maybe they haven’t changed in 10 years. I loath them.
Great advice!
Grate video 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Are you shooting the talking head stuff on a FX6?
We shoot everything pretty much on it.
I love my FX6, although the only thing I wish it had was “any” mic input on the body. Really miss that from the previous FS5m2 I ran. Crazy that Sony hasn’t released some audio adapter to replace the top handle for gimbal work.
Yeah I think they are in cahoots with the after market people so you have to buy more accessories.
The Rode SC11 cable (and the Rode VXLR adapter) will come in handy if you want to run the FX3/FX30 and have dual channel separation and gain control. Swap out the XLR shotgun mic for a Rode Go II or Video Mic NTG (for channels 3/4).... run the RWG2 in mono for a single TX/talent use and with the SC11 you can have an in-camera safety channel ; a normal speaking audio level CH1 and a "whisper level" CH2. Great little system for a small budget setup.
Appreciate the advice!
Grate information man thanks 👍🏼💯🔥🙌
Thanks for watching!
Heck yeah bro! Anytime.
Grate podcast man, I learned a lot 💯🙌🔥
Thanks for listening and watching!
5000 iso is that on a picture profile? Slog3 is 12800 iso on second base right
That’s correct. S log 3 base iso is 800 and 12,800. When shooting in s-cine on the FX6 there really isn’t a base iso outside of 320 being the lowest setting. When switching to dual base, your low base ISO is meant to run 5,000 and lower and your high base is anything above that
When are we adding some FPV shots to your intro reel?!?!?!
We got to do a new Reel at some point!!
I just filmed a spot and stalk mule deer hunt with this lens on my a7Siii. I was actually very surprised how well it performed. Granted, the light was always good, as we really were not hunting in low light conditions. But overall it was an excellent lens for hand held in a situation where it would have been difficult for me to swap lenses on the fly. Photos with it were generally soft, but in a pinch it can do a decent job if you slow down and nail focus.
Most of the time it works out. It’s a little soft but most can’t tell
Hey, I saw your podcast recently and I really enjoyed it! I do short form content like reels for instagram and UA-cam and I think your podcast could perform very well. If you’re interested I could edit and post repurposed content from your podcast everyday with good SEO and thumbnails for better results. If you’re interested, let me know and we can get started!
Thanks!
Hey! Are you interested?@@rednecktechtv
Wow you film animals being shot? Wonderful
We do.
Love my FX6. This video is spot on. Best fishing cam I’ve ever used.
🙌🏻
Good stuff. I like the one case idea
It works well for us!
What lens is currently on these?
Normally a Sony 24-240.
10-4 Thanks for the quick response@@rednecktechtv
What does your travel case look like?
If you have any other questions, leave them below!
haha sorry joe.
He is killing us
nice to meet you-thaat's great ! ✨
same to you!
what's your go to lenses?
Personality, hard work, trust, and determination is how you make it in the industry.
agreed!
GINUINE people can not survive in a fake industry. "Subject Matter Expert" here..... still illrealavant. still here. My (comic) neighbor has millions of followers for doing 1min videos & gets kickbacks of companies he supports & says he clears 30k a month. HE IS HIS BRAND. Hunting shows on ranches using products is like Bill Dance on a private pond. ..........................(backspace edit) I dont think everyone will appriciate my honesty. I think we could be more powerful together than any of us could ever be individually. Until the products we support become the story, its not worth telling. the wholesome side of this industry gets bought out & outsouced to China just like your views did. Corprate money that threw out customer service is like betting on the house with someone else's credit. its meaningless, faceless, & everything Hunting & story telling shouldnt be. tell your story with passion, nothing else matters.
Thanks for your input
Caleb unfortunately the answer to your question about long form high production quality series is No. In my opinion in the Outdoor industry at this time marketers are looking for short form on-demand digital media/series.
Yeah we knew that we just didn't want to admit it to ourselves. We can do short form but we would rather tell a story and be challenged in that regard. I think that short form can for sure be creative and engaging but I just do not like throw away content as a concept I guess. I want things that will live on.
yes the cell phone content from company or lets say a event group that not paying for good media work. kills me.
Literally kills me.
I don't think Ai is going to affect the outdoor industry as much as other industries. A large portion of the hunting industry are good ole boys who won't buy into an artificial intelligence doing stuff for them. I just don't see it. If any industry can survive Ai it's the hunting industry
I agree with that a little. The good ole boys though are aging out. I am not sure how much longer that crowd will run things. Most companies now are owned by private equity.
Now we get 10% discount codes to track where sales came from
I know right!
I’m so glad you made this video. I also work for an outdoors company and ordered the fx6 before finding your video. Glad to see I made a good choice 🤙🏻
we just try to simplify it and make it so average people can understand! thanks for watching
I have a GoPro 5 and 8 that I use for my channel, I've had my issues but for the most part they've worked well for me and my waterfowl hunts then use a mirrorless for b-roll, dog retrieves, talking, etc. I use the 8 on my head with a USB charger on a 5 minute loop that will run for 6 hours without needing to be charged, same with the Hero 5 as a second camera then a ShotKam on my gun to get 3 different angles of the shots. I do want to try an Osmo and see if there's a quality difference
Weird...I've never had the problems you mention....
Different for everyone I'm sure, this is just my experience!
genius!
Thanks for watching!
COULDN'T AGREE MORE!! I have had NOTHING but problems with GoPro. I don't care if they have improved. The damage has already been done and I've been let down so many times.
