Kawazu-zakura are early-blooming cherry blossoms start to bloom in mid February. Kawazu in Shizuoka is famous for them so that many people come to see when its season in full bloom every year. We were going to another great place in Minamiizu for viewing kawazu-zakura in fully bloom luckily on such a beautiful sunny day. Please enjoy beautiful sakura viewing on my short kimono vlog!

      it is okay cuz nowadays there is so many style you can use with kimono and there is nothing wrong with it even japanese people style their kimono with skirt and they didn't use obi instead normal belt😉 you can check out Billy Matsunaga's youtube channel, she is a professional trained kimono stylist and teacher, and post many video about kimono

    I absolutely LOVE the Japanese culture. It is so beautiful, I would love to wear a kimono (respectfully, of course) and to hopefully visit one day. It is such a beautiful place. Thank you for this, I hope to one day visit and where such a beautiful kimono like this one! ❤👘

    magnificent. I had only been browsing for a way to tie a men's kimono style robe (not authentic) and stumbled across this. I have now gained much respect for a woman that is wearing a kimono because of you. you have shown that it is an art.

    This is so pretty, when I try to tie it there isn't enough of the obi left at the end, I can only make a very small bow

      Thank you for watching my video and trying this knot! Yes, there're a lot of types (lengths) of half-width obi and making obi knot is depend on its length. I think you need length more than 3.8m long for making good shapes of this knot ;-))

      今年もいよいよ暑くなってきましたね!浴衣を着る際、そのものに衿芯はしませんが、最近は浴衣を夏じゅばんや美容衿などと合わせて着物のようにきちんと着ることもできるタイプのものがあるようですので、その場合は襦袢に衿芯をとおして足袋も履いてちょっとした夏のお出掛けの際にもいいですね^^

      Shape of sleeves like these are one of the features of Japanese kimono. It looks elegant but actually, when wearing very casual kimono or yukata, you can use these sleeves as pouch for handkerchief or small belongings;-)
