The mines are a relatively short section before you finally get out of Ravenholm, however in the Beta version of the game they were meant to be a major part of the Ravenholm chapter as a whole. Makes me wish they did something more with them, but at least they were re-used in Episode 2

better choice would have been either at the start of exuent omnes or towards the end of Heavy Resistance with the low growling noise in the background

techonolgy is so advanced now, just imagine Manhunt game with all that atmosphere but with modern graphics on RAGE engine.

Back in the day I loved this. Lost places, the horror, the fighting, the music, the atmosphere. It was perfect. My first game like this. I remember finishing the download very late at night and starting it up afterwards. I came so much late to school next morning. And then the multiplayer part that was free! I found many new friends! Won't go into detail but that changed also a whole lot of my personal live (not having to do with playing games). I think this game is one of the checkpoints of my life that changed so much.
