This is my channel. There are many like it but this is mine. Just a wholesome family doing things.
Dodge A100 Camper van....Still working on the rust. Nothing exciting.
As I continue working on this, if you have technical A100 questions, let me know. I'm just going through and working on the body right now. The motor is running from a 5gal inside.
Windshield is removed so I can work on the sill and replace the gaskets.
I will be able to reuse the front seats with covers but I do have a replacement seat just in case. It's a jeep low back that just needs a modified bracket on the bottom to function.

I've never had the opportunity to work in a garage. This is amazeballs! Not a productive video but I wanted to start Tales from the garage since I'm getting my bearings on my new work station (pun intented). This is going to help me keep the project going. It's already getting dark by 7 and soon it's be dark at 4:30. Dark AND rainy.... but not in the garage! Bwahahaha! #notarealmechanic

We ran into a problem finding hubs, so brakes are still not done. I got the parts van to Frankenstein. So many things lined up, and I have all the materials. Now I just need to find the time. Pop up progress - Rough cut done for the Campwagon

1965 Campwagon pop-up restore. Replaced the 20ga aluminum particle board sandwich with solid Douglas fir plywood. Rough cut done. Need to stain and seal the wood then put the weather stripping around the windows and edges next. #1965 #a100 #classiccars #vanlife

1965 Campwagon Van - The bed had lots of holes but not a lot that will warrant cutting out to patch. Lots of grinding to base metal then sealing. Starting with a rough grind then I'll go back for really clearing out every little bit I physically can. This video just covers the beginning rust removal process. #1965 #a100 #classiccars #vanlife

This was the first video I took of the van before we started working on it. It's an overview of the set up for us to reference during the restore. This oldie had all the features that campers still want today. I have since found out that there are metal holders that multiple cots can be set up with. I will talk more about that as we build back. Got the covers off the pop up to clean everything out and we found the roof has been rusted through. It'll be repaired but not a priority yet. Once the rains get here, a tarp will keep dry. #1965 #a100 #classiccars #slantsix #vanlife #campwagon #vanfan #gearheads

Repairing the pop-up. Don't pull the metal. It's thin and hard to put back into shape. Worst case, I'll take it into the shop and hand cut a new one from Stainless but I'm going to try and keep this simple for now. Just cutting new wood to replace the particle board.
