36819 LA Diesel Amrep ASL Collecting Trash

Here’s 819 on the Thursday route revvin’ up on trash. This is all the footage I got cause the truck was almost full load. Driver told me this was his last day in 819 he’s getting a new truck CNG one and he said he’s going to miss 819 cause of how fast he can make it move. The newer 320 grille on an older 320 looks pretty weird lol but unique.

Filmed Tuesday April 2, 2024 Here’s 150003 collecting trash on the Tuesday route. Driver had an interesting operating style by tried to keep the lid closed in some parts in the video. Managed to get a couple of Toter carts on film. Thanks to the driver for letting me film!

Here we have 103717 collecting trash on the Thursday route in South Gate. Waste Management no longer collects here. Universal Waste Systems now collects here seen from my other videos. The arm on this truck ran at a pretty good speed, not slow. Cool to see a sign board on this one, sadly some of the pictures faded away. I did get some old Rotos on film, which was nice. Here’s 806 collecting recycling in the townhouses. I randomly found this truck by surprise it was sick to see it repainted! 806 is a unique one it has those LED strobe lights on the back. Here’s a CR&R Autocar Amrep ASL collecting trash on the Monday route in Bellflower, CA. This truck arm used to be slow but as seen here, it runs fast, smooth and even does lid flips too. The first part of the video was filmed on April 24, 2023 in Pico Union on the Monday route. Truck was getting full so that was all I could get. The repaint looks very nice! I also noticed this truck got the reduced emissions equipped with particulate trap low sulphur fuel sticker. I don’t really see those anymore neat how this truck got it. No idea how a San Jose, California Black Otto Wheelie Cart got all the way down here lol. Had some time to film in Fontana, CA. I found this truck in a small community and then went to residential. Here is the 902 collecting recycling on a Monday route. This is the footage I have. While I was filming it got full. This Condor looks great when it’s clean! Would never work here in my part of the UK. I used to work for the local council. Our Bulky items were like 100 pickups in one day. This video it takes the poor guy like nearly 10 mins for one pick up. Rear loaders and two loaders/driver for the win. If we had done it this way we'd have been out for like 16 hours...

Cool video 386 went to a new route last year and 392 took over Saul used to drive this truck and also 396 320 400 does my neighborhood now this was filmed back In 2022.
I spoke with Long Beach PW and they stated that Long Beach is in the process of executing an organics program. The city itself with be collecting the organics, they will not be outsourcing to a private company.

Why can't rear loaders be fully automated unlike side loaders?
Because that is stupid, you have been told this before.
@@wnytrashtrucks I just want to know.
It wouldn't make sense to use side loaders in this part of the city because it's mostly apartments and multifamily buildings. The population density means more parked vehicles so there wouldn't be much room to line up multiple barrels, per building. An automated side loader wouldn't be efficient in areas like these because the driver would still have to continuously exit the truck to bring barrels to the truck and return them to wherever they were.

@LuisUrbieta. - In the UK and Europe they are. All they do is 'hook' the bin on - it goes up automatically (No levers or buttons to push), gets emptied, and comes back down - (Undamaged), - and they don't fall in the cart either.

I'm the Driver of this new ride its a little slow but will wait a couple of weeks before I do some tweaks on it letting it break in a little. Lots of cheap plastic.
I gotta say this is a nice truck overall I’m as Houston filmer and hope for the day to visit Los angles and film those amreps
This truck was put into service fast . Amazing job catching this truck man . Really digging these new 520s than the older 520s we have . I didn’t think that these were gonna come with the green tank . Gives it a nice touch and I’m glad they came with the flat rims . What is your opinion on these so far ? The yellow arm gives it a different look . Overall really enjoyed watching.
