Well I guess technically it’s the sound of the interface and the irig I use to get that quality like that as well as a quick little mix not mastered at all. But the Beyerdinamic open back headphones have amazing sound quality I would definitely recommend. @@midwestnate How long did it take you to get your mastery of that pad? i STRUGGLE using a keyboard to do sythns and some drum kits etc sometimes so that must be hella more complicated.

⁠honestly I went hard at it everyday for about 6 months to get really familiar with the pads. It also helps that I’m a drummer but I still like producing with a midi keyboard on the keys it’s nostalgic for me. I have found that it will all be as complicated as we make it until it isn’t. Just keep doing what you are doing and practicing at it and it’ll definitely get better I guarantee you that. Are you thinking of getting a beat pad?

@@midwestnate Firstly, thank you for the thoughtful responce, and I am thinking about it but im still pretty early in my music and part of me wants to take time and do it in steps but pads have ALWAYS interested me, its like having all the power of a midi keyboard and a PC but being able to take your samples and just RIDE OUT live seems so dope to me. I know you can do it on keyboard too but it dont seem like its the same. perhaps I am simply over thinking it.

@RavenTheBlackheart @RavenTheBlackheart Well I can say that there definitely is a difference between midi and having stand alone pads. It’s more fun and enjoyable to create for sure when it comes to performing, recording live, or just recording in general so I get it. There’s many options for pads too so don’t think you have to start with or keep going with midi because you don’t. If you desire pads get pads they come in a range of price points new and used. You got this I find that if you start how you want if possible of course then it makes for a much more enjoyable experience and something that can go the distance.
