Easy way to do the water pump. Hopefully BMW Corp. Won't sue me or try to kill me for share this trick.
One of the tires of my beetle car misses the metal ring, which is larger than the center cap as shown in the video. What is the name of the ring? Am I able to buy it somewhere other than vW dealership? Thanks!
Thank you for your video 🤟😎
Totally idiot
That tiny hole beneath the VW logo is designed for a hook tool that should be found in the trunk with the spare tire. It has a circle with a hook at the end. The best way to remove the wheel caps while avoiding scratches on your rims is to use this tool. Place it deep into the hole and pull. If the hook tool isn't placed deep enough it can remove the black plastic trim piece around the logo area, if this does happen fear not, it can just pop back in. Hopefully this helps anybody who comes across this video ♥️
Traah video didn't tell me how to do it
Merci beaucoup
Thank you so much!
Omg so stupid. Thats not how you take them off. The right way at least. Keep using those tiny tiny braincells! 🤓
This was very helpful.
Hell yeah! Appreciate it
Is the 06 the same
nice thanks. how to do valve cover gasket on this model. any idea
Just did this job and did as you said and it was a big help. I did also find that if you take off right (passenger side) heat exchanger hose itself it give you even more room. It is easy to remove and reinstall.
Video only plays 1/3rd of the way through and stops for some reason.
Thank you for doing this!!!!
By the way, how long did it take you to do from start to finish? Did you have to do any special bleeding of the system?
Thanks for posting - looks like this is very doable
Any coding needed? I saw a tech sheet say to recode for the pump.
no as far as I know, The car came with no codes and leave the same way.
How many miles till you needed to replace? Is disconnecting negative battery terminal needed? How were your hoses? Do you recommend changing them while they are out? Thanks
Can you get to everything from the top or do you have remove the bottom cover to access other bolts. Thanks in advance.
jose ibarra yes you have to work on both ways the top part is to remove the water pump and the thermostat housing but you need to work at the bottom to remove the bolts
Oz, how did you unfastened the oil cooler from the cooling fan housing? I see the screw on the top by can't figure how the bottom is attached.
Jay Thomas the bottom part is a clip and is very tricky but don't worry you won't break the housing if you try to pull it up for better view. Is kinda push down the clip and pull up the cooler.
Mr. Oz Nietch , excellent! Thanks for the info and tip
Jay Thomas did you have to remove the bottom bolt on the oil cooler?
Mr. Oz Nietch need some help with getting the fan out.
kc7473 sure, the oil coolant?
It's not a 3.5 dummy it's a 3.0 liter
