Funny fact: Modernisation of police forces scheme existed since 1969 and the Bureau of Police Research and Development existed since 1970, but the Indian police forces are still primitive. On a serious note, India seriously needs to bring about massive reforms and modernisation of the police forces and build a force that a real emerging superpower must have. Looking at the current state of the police forces, bragging that India is a future superpower is so laughable.
