Shredding Big Bear Bike Park On My YT Capra Core 2
Wife and I were a little sick but we decided to take advantage of time off work and send a day in the bike park, even if we stuck more to the blues!

what are your settings? they look sensational.
👏🏼👏🏼
i’m thinking about getting a capra core 2. my biggest concern is how it climbs. how would u say it climbs?
@@auqf4443 sorry I thought I replied! It climbs well! I'm coming from a meta am 4.0 which is a lighter smaller travel bike but also maybe a bit small for me at 6'2. So the yt feels super good partially just since it fits better
@@auqf4443 but it climbs really good, yeah. And I have 29er version to be clear.
Hey man i was just there wondering which trail the one you are on at 8:10 is?
I think it's called turtle trail
Wow downhill
For a gopro hero 9 this is some amazing quality
I think it should point a little upwards or may be a wider lens
looking good
Very nice. At 56 sec, that jump downhill took my breath away, big air!
Noice!!
Scary
Damn, that footage looks amazing! What action camera are you using?
Thanks! It's an osmo action 4 at 30 fps 1/120 shutter speed (using nd 16 filter). Just got the camera this is like my second time using it!
Also I color grade in resolve to adjust small stuff like contrast, highlights, shadows, saturation and sharpness
@@EJOpdahlthanks, I know what I'm going to buy next 😅 and I will try the color grade.
Your footage looks great, are you using a gimbal?
No gimbal, just a dji osmo action 4 with the right settings and some basic correction in davinci resolve
Just ordered the core 2 29 in grey and I can’t wait
Dude hell yeah!! you are gonna love it, the grey is fuckin badass and the bike is fantastic. I think they are a better price right now, when I bought mine it was 3500 but they dropped a bunch :( lol
plan on getting new grips, the stock ones are just too thin. I went to knuckledusters
Are you Usingen the 29er or Mullet Setup
29
With Capri jumps better? 1 or 2
Hard to say as my wife's core 1 is a medium, so too small for me at 6'2" to test. Plus she weighs less than me. But suspension wise I assume they are pretty equal, it's just entry level rockshox vs entry level fox (both super solid). Her bike despite having cheaper brakes stops crazy good, yt did a really good bleed on hers. You can't go wrong with either bike, with a good tune and properly sagged/ setup suspension you are good to shred. There are videos of people doing some serious features on even the core 1.
🤙🔥🤙
Love the side shots of you jumping, massive air, very cool!
Thanks!!
Planning to buy that bike in croatia for a summer, seems great, cant get more excited 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bike is great!!! You will love it
your camera quallity is insane, never thought you could make a gopro look this good
Thank you man! I love playing around with the color grading in davinci resolve. Glad it's paying off
Height and bike size ? im right around 6'0-6'1 thinking of getting a L Core 2
I'm 6'2 riding the xl it feels perfect
Amazing, but scary sometimes 🤩
nice!
Where's "This Spot"?
San Clemente
Hello, the bushings are long, did you change something or did it arrive like new
this is how the bike was. Didn't change anything
How you describe difference between suspension on core 1 and core 2? Its worth more money? I dont speek about other components just suspension. Thank you.
Not totally sure, my wife's bike (the core 1) is a bit small on me so I haven't taken hers down any trails. Just pumping around on flat ground they feel similar and the adjustments on them are similar. I think they're probably not that different from each other. Some people prefer rock shocks for their longer service intervals, but I think either are probably fine
My wife's core one seemed like really Great value, her brakes are surprisingly amazing and the build is really solid.
love greer!
Sweet bike! enjoy that thing!
Dude! I was at dog park on Saturday! Place is sick.
Glad to hear you got out there. It's pretty insane. Feels like a little bike park.
Sick, I'm gonna be out there next weekend again assuming the Capra I ordered comes in!
Looks fun
Where’s this at brotha
search up yt mill san clemente on google maps
Place looks fun, can't wait to check it out one day soon.
Super fun for sure!!

you should try to make a road gap
I love roadgaps! the first hit in the video is a road gap actually. looks smaller on gopro. Will have to see if there's anywhere else I can make one
A road gap would look good on the trail in the first 5 seconds
I love roadgaps! the first hit in the video is a road gap actually (around 7 seconds). looks smaller on gopro. Will have to see if there's anywhere else I can make one
it looks good man. With a proper boost off the jump you had it with less speed than I expected. Looks like a fun start
thanks! definitely looking forward to fine tuning it!
looks good for homespot, look my videos im ride around Cologne city and looking for enduro trails with my ebike and Train
Keep it up man 🤙
Common man that jeep is way to nice to be taken on these kind of roads get a zj or something for this kinda driving 😢
Lol. Car is meant to be driven. We have taken that red jeep on some seriously f*cked up trails and high centered it bad on stuff. It's taken a beating and done well. It's my dad's. I have the blue wj (the car the camera is mounted on in the video) and don't feel as guilty when I beat it up. Now my dad has a 6.5inch lifted wj on 33's that he wheels.
sick!
You need a left hip after the double and the road needs to be gapped!!!!!!yeah boy!
haha I didn't even think of that but watching the video now I'm thinking how insane gapping the road would be haha. I think we own some of that road but the other side is neighbor's.. but doesn't hurt to dream haha.
Noice!
*SEND IT* :D WOOOO!!! :D
Yeee boi!
im your 300 subscriber ! keep going
Hell yeah thanks man!! Will do. Although I'm feeling a bit concussed right now haha
@@EJOpdahl yeah that was a hard landing
Small jumps like this are easy to overshoot. You have to go slower and pump/pop for air since they're so close together. These can be trickier and are more DJ than park jump.
For sure. I misjudged it so bad! I use to be quite a good jumper but that was several years ago haha. Trying to relearn.
@@EJOpdahl Same here, I have to relearn if I'm not pedaling for a while. A lot of it is muscle memory. Once you get used to the motion and orientation it starts to come back. Those first couple times are hairy for sure. 😁
damn bro overshot abit...
Yeah it was so bad haha 😅. Landing definitely should be bigger which I already knew but damn I seriously misjudged it lol.
I learned this at Kolo on a rented dirt jumper. The little jumps pop you out in the shittiest ways, the long lead up jumps are much easier to predict, and all gap jumps are evil. I refuse to do any gaps. None. I will try a 40' table before I do a 4' gap.
haha yeah man. If you can't fit your whole bike on a jump, you should expect it to kick, and expect the timing of the pump to be difficult. I've hit tons of gaps up to a couple around 20-25 feet. but it's been a long time and I'm trying to kind of relearn the skill. This thing freaking served me for breakfast hahah
Huge doubles scare the crap out of me too. 😁
Never gave up!!! Awesome. 🤙💪
Great Vid always get back up
thanks man! Definitely, glad I was able to laugh it off and eventually get it working!
impressive
