Tetzaveh
Tetzaveh
As we have just learned, the name of Moses is not mentioned anywhere in this entire chapter. The `This may seem like a punishment, but truth is that we have more than Moses in this chapter than in any other. The more physicality there is in something, the less light there is there. In this chapter, we have no aspect of physicality of Moses, so we are receiving all his light.

Terumah
Переглядів 3414 роки тому
The chapter of Terumah , concerns the Tabernacle, which was the precursor of the Temple. Because we don't have the physical Temple on our time, we must build a spiritual Temple inside ourselves. Rav Berg teaches that according to the sages, the physical Temple does exist but we do not perceive it because we have not yet created our own Temple within. This is our life's work. Every action we tak...
Mishpatim
Переглядів 2314 роки тому
Mishpatim The word Mishpatim literally means "laws and judgments". This chapter looks at actions and their effects in this physical world. The Zohar tells us that this chapter also refers to process of reincarnation-making us aware that the insights here teach us not only about the law of Cause and Effect in the physical world but also the impact of our actions in the spiritual dimension.
Yitro

Yitro This chapter deals with the Ten Utterances on Mount Sinai - the revelation of immortality in this world. This is the most important section of the bible because the essence of everything is here for us in the Ten Utterances.

Beshalach The story describes the Splitting of the Red Sea, and it also introduces the 72 Names of God. Contrary to conventional descriptions of this event, God did not part the Red Sea. Rather, it was Moses and Israelites who performed this act, which overturned physical nature. It was the first time that humanity had been given the tools to bring about a miracle. The miracle was made possible...
Bo

Bo The story of Bo includes the final three plagues. The Ten Sefirot can be divided into the lower seven, which represent the human body, and the upper three, which represents the head. The body represents the manifestation of thoughts, while the head is the seed level - our thoughts, our consciousness - the potential rather than the manifestation. As the plagues represent the ascending order o...

Shemot Shemot literally means "names" in Aramaic. The bible describes the Israelite's process of going forth from Egypt, a process that eventually culminated in the building of the Mishkan. This process which takes place through the biblical stories of this coming weeks, is known as Shovavim, an acronym for the first letters of the titles of those stories. At his time, the cosmos is open for te...

Vayechi Usually, there is some physical space between the sections in the Torah Scroll. Sometimes, it is a whole line; sometimes it is nine characters. But here, between the beginning of this section (Vayechi) and the end of preceding section (Vayigash), we have only one letter’s width of space. The commentary says that this closed space alludes to the fact that Jacob had wanted to tell his chi...
Vayighash
Переглядів 2884 роки тому
Vayigash Vayigash means “to come close,” to draw near to the light of the Creator. There are certain things we can do to help us move closer to the light, while other things cause us to become more distant. Sharing brings us closer, for instance, while doubt and anger push away. This reading gives us the power to come closer to the Light of Creator.
Miketz

Miketz This story is almost always read on the Shabbat of Chanukah, the time of miracles. Most cosmic events possess a lower level of spiritual energy than Shabbat does. This is because the energy of cosmic events and supernal holidays is spread over an entire year, while the energy obtained and available on Shabbat is more potent because it controls a shorter period of time-one week. So when a...
Vayeshev
Переглядів 2344 роки тому
Vayeshev After all his trials and tests, Jacob had become complacent. He felt that he had accomplished everything he was supposed to do. It was at this point that his son Joseph was taken from him. From this, we learn that we should never rest on our laurels, spiritually speaking. We should always be ready to grow and to undertake the spiritual work that such growth requires.
Vayishlach
Переглядів 2164 роки тому
Vayishlach Vayishlach means “to send away.” This word encompasses the energy and consciousness required to let go of something or someone. Often, we have difficulty detaching ourselves from negative people and situations, but this particular story of Genesis gives us the power to do so.
Vayetze
Переглядів 2644 роки тому
Vayetze Vayetze means “he went out.” The message for humanity is that it is only when we “go out” of ourselves, leaving our comfort zones and rising above our nature and our selfish desires, that we begin our true spiritual journey. In this story, Jacob had to “go out” to embark on his path toward becoming “Israel” - the conduit of energy for the nation of Israel. By connecting with this partic...

No where in the Tora does it say to do any of those rituals related to the talit. Fence laws and mans rituals shadow the simplicity of Gods demands.

Would be nice if you “messianic jews” as you call yourselves would leave us alone and stop trying to co opt our culture. You’re Christians, stop lying to yourselves and stop appropriating our customs. Sick and tired of Christians commenting on videos like this telling us about our ways and underhand suggesting we should follow your christ. Not happening, get over it and go proselytize somewhere else.
