This week I danced to two songs by JUNGLE - I’ve Been In Love and Candle Flame. I enjoyed having a specific outfit on as I felt more confident while dancing! I also had fun dancing to music I normally listen to! I enjoy as I watch back that you can specifically see the style of jazz that these songs brought out of me!

I really enjoyed the improvisation roulette. It was a challenge to not know what song I was about to dance to. I figured out the song by the chorus and had fun finding different rhythms.

While I was not able to film this with a classmate I felt powerful when improving in this video! Dancing to Sweet Dreams helped me find more power in my arms and upper body. I can see the patterns in the moves I fall back on when I am unsure of what to do next but I can see the improvement in my movement quality of the improv.

Challenging a new perspective and way to view my piece to show the audience what I want them to see.

For this project, I played with a lot of jumpcuts and worked on editing videos on top of each other. I struggled with extending it to the full two minutes as my choreography was not that long. I played with putting the video in reverse and speeding it up. While I have enjoyed iMovie in the past it made it really hard to push the limits of editing for this project.
