I have another hobby studying generations and the science behind it. We are in a 'crisis' phase and during these periods institutions are affected. The post system is one of those institutions and the affects are showing. I would predict that once the 'crisis' is over and the "high" begins, the postal service will go back to a more recognizable system. Fingers crossed! Sorry I missed the live. If you happen to remember me, I'm a spanking new seller. LOL I got some listings up and made one sale although it was a crafting supply item but still fun to make my first sale. I harvested from 1 magazine so far and I realized I needed a better cutting blade before I kept going so that's on it's way. Thanks for the tips and providing some company while I work. 😁

Any interest in 50 life magazines from the 30s?

You touched on something at the end of the video that I'm REALLY struggling with. I bought a lot of WWII era LIFE magazines just stuffed with amazing ads! There are a couple issues, however, that I could swear I am the first person to *ever* flip through. They are literally mint condition; I can feel the texture of the ink and stiffness of the pages, and if they were comics from the same era, I would be sending them off to CGC Grading as NM+ for megabucks. The issue that's of most interest to me is from Dec 10, 1945. The war is over (buy VICTORY Bonds!), and the Nuremberg trials are well underway. The history buff & collector in me is *well* at-odds with the guy who is trying to expand his eBay coin store (EncinitasCoin) into a more profitable, general collectables store. I'm not sure if you have any advice on this conundrum, but I can't imagine you have never felt it, especially when you were first starting out. Thank you so much for all of your great content, advice, and education. You are a tremendous help!

Curious on a question (how you go about it). When you see a cool Ad on both sides of page do you find yourself flipping back and forth on which one to choose? How have you decided? Would you list it as a double ad on 1 page (front/back)?

Hello. So I just want to be sure I'm understanding correctly. For the listings I do from the Vendoo app, with ebay as my main platform, I still have to do the Vendoo form for any other platform that I want my listing to post on? If so, what is the "instant crossposting" that Vendoo advertises? TIA

One of my BEST estate sales pick ups: about 9 or 10 Crazy Eddie (electronic store) promo 45 RPM flexi-discs in the original envelopes . Unused. 1979. Sold ALL of them : $29.99 each. PAID : $1.00 for the whole pile.

OMG You sold a STAR TREK PLATE ! All those collector plates are so hard to sell. After I had helped those people with the "QVC Addict" home - they said to me "You were right ! NOBODY bought any of the plates" . Before the sale started - they asked me "What should we charge for the Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Plates". I was like " $1.00 / $2.00 or $3.00 each?" And went on to say "They will not sell". Did not sell one of them and NOBODY asked about them.

I just have to say that I so enjoy your chat videos. It is not easy to do these I would imagine. I've been a "hobby' kind of reseller on Ebay for 25 years and have learned a lot from you and all the folks that join your chats. I would encourage you to keep doing these because it is encouraging to people like me that sometimes get discouraged and then recharged through your videos. You do and are making a difference in people's lives believe it or not. Even though I have been reselling for a very long time I get motivated to search out other interesting items to look for. Thanks and keep the chat shows coming!!

It was a great show. I always take interest in the listing shows...a little too much since I'm looking at your ads instead of mine! LOL This conversation was a lot easier for me to work along with. I enjoyed the discussion of accents, and buyers thinking they were buying the physical products instead of ads (I've had three of those). And there was mention of selling photographs from magazines that were not associated with advertising - I've sold three in recent months that I can remember right off, Chiang Kai-shek, Oppenheimer, and Johnny Cash. Anyway. It was fun, as always! Have a great weekend and week ahead!

That's a great brochure. I've never used a video in an ephemera listing, but for that item I'd have to consider it. Very cool!

I just started selling ephemera bill heads and bill heads with fancy writings on them yesterday and a few vintage baseball cards. I only got eight listings up right now. Great video I enjoy your sense of humor! Between my cell phone, my desk top, and Ebay working together (holy shit!!) trying to learn on the fly. I think I picked the glitchiest day of all for all three of those things. It was taking me an hour just to do one listing. I felt like I had already done a hundred. I am probably using the weirdest way to do it. I am using a 10 day auction, with NO friggin best offers, and a $10.00 start bid. It's like bid or don't bid. That might not pay off but I like doing it like that for now. It is an experiment 🙃well back to your video!
