      I wish I could help disable it but that is not an option that I know of. For the sake of your marriage, if I find a way to disable it I will let you know! In the meantime I recommend a helmet! 😂

    Thank you for your info video. I have a XC60 that has the kick / foot opening feature. I will be removing fuse #15 in the fuse box under the rear floor panel that powers this foot feature, as several times I have been working on the car and something passes under the rear bumper (dog, cat, hand when washing the car, etc) and the liftgate automatically opens, with some very close calls whacking me in the chin, etc. Also, when I did try to use the foot feature, it was extremely sporadic, so very unreliable and frustrating, sometimes almost losing my balance and footing trying to make it work. So, I am giving up, doing away with that very undesirable feature. Volvo needs to rethink this. Sometimes car technological advancement is not all it is cracked up to be.

    I have a 2016 momentum with the same button layout but it just does the normal cruise control, no adaptive or pilot cruise control. I was wondering if it’s because of my trim package. Then why have the distance adjustment buttons if it doesn’t maintain distance.

    Thank you! I just spent an hour trying to figure out what you just explained in under two minutes. I've been driving a Volvo since the model 240 in 1978. Back then, having an AM/FM stereo was state-of-the-art. What I've learned is that sound technology has change a lot between 2012 and my newer 2020 S60.

      This does apply to the 2023 XC90 as well. The only thing you may want to look out for is where the sensor is located. It may only be on the left side instead of both side underneath the bumper.

    Hello, I couldn't see the icons that came up on your video because of the camera angle. I have just bought an xc60 from 2019 and am finding cruise control impossible. It either goes into Speed Limiter, so you can't speed up if you need to, (which can be alarming!) or it just seems to increase by too much. I can't get much sense out of the manual either, the info is very limited. My old Volvo had such a simple system. Press a button to switch on CC, then just hit the + or - to set the speed, only increasing or decreasing by one mile at one time. I can't learn it off the screen while I'm driving either, (and you can't play around with it when you're stationary), and the showroom is an hour away, just don't have time atm to go there for a lesson. Also-can I permanently switch off the seat heater? I keep having to pull over and switch it off manually every time which is a drag, but it is uncomfortably hot.

    in case someone else has this issue, mine was already paired to another garage door so i had to reset it first. to reset it, hold the 1st and 3rd (left and right) buttons until it flashes green. took about 10 seconds. after the reset, the instructions worked perfectly.

    Thank you for this video on cruise control. I have a question. When I try to increase by one mile at a time, the cruise still jumps 5 miles rather than one mile. I do hold the proper button as you noted. Is something wrong with my cruise? Or would this occur if I am in a different mode than just plain cruise? Brand new 2020 XC-60 Inscription. Thank you.

    • @TheCaptainNorcross
      @TheCaptainNorcross 4 роки тому

      Good afternoon Kate, I see that you mentioned that you are holding the proper button when trying to increase by 1 mile which should work, especially on a newer vehicle. There are a few things I would try, I know it may sound rudimentary but I would try to hold down the button a little longer and look at your "cruising set speed" which is under your current speed. This should work in traditional cruise control, Adaptive cruise control, and pilot assist. Holding the button down longer will not hurt anything so don't be afraid to hold it down until your set speed changes. Depending on when you made your purchase I would contact the dealership you purchased from and make sure they did a software update on your new car. If they did not do a software update I would recommend going to your local Volvo store and getting your software updated. If you're ever in the Memphis, TN area please feel free to come by our store for a complimentary car wash and any one of our Product Specialists will be glad to teach you helpful tips and tricks about your Volvo. If you have any other questions you can call me directly at (901)373-3000. Have a great day! Trey Norcross Volvo Cars Memphis

    Where do ya get the air from to put in the tire?

    • @volvocarsmemphis2661
      @volvocarsmemphis2661 5 років тому

      Carey, some people add nitrogen to tires in cold weather because they believe it reduces a fluctuation in pressure with the changing temperatures. Through our testing we have noticed fluctuation with compressed air or nitrogen so we stick to the good old fashioned compressed air. We are still trying to get some imported from Sweden for extra safety benefits!
