@@imjaem 안녕하세요, 국적은 영국이고 생산은 그리스인걸로 알고있습니다!
The last jeans I had before I got into raw, selvedge denim was some Levi's from Costco. So I imagine the quality was even worse than regular 501s. After I got a few pairs of selvedge denim I donated the Levi's. It's hard to get the made in Japan Levi's here in Canada but since it usually goes for the same price as some smaller brands I don't really see the point.
@@cheddarbuttersworth2441 Hey cheddar, my point exactly! The MIJ version review is scheduled for next week, but that’s how I feel as well.
Where did you purchase? US prices are pretty high than what you mentioned.
Sorry if I caused you any misundersranding. The prices here are based the country of origin(in this case Japan), and the $ amount is a rough estimate calculated by the exchange rate. I do this just to give viewers some idea of what the original prices are. Due to importing fees and taxes, the actual price from your local distributers may be higher.
It looks like you damaged the fabric in the dryer
Hey there, if you’re talking about the detail on 1:42, I heard it is intentional, to recreate the old finishing technique. The rest of the fabric doesn’t feel like it has changed much. Thanks for watching!
Skinheads are interesting, mostly because they go from this music subculture that listens to a lot of early ska which is very Caribbean to being a group that is heavily associated with racist ideology. This is England was a good movie that tried to reflect on that. Won't you run out of shoes to polish though? Also what are your loafers?
@@cheddarbuttersworth2441 Hey cheddar, thanks for watching as always! :) I still have some boots & shoes that needs to be cared, so every once in a while I’ll continue these series. 🤞 The loafer-like shoes worn on this video are the Paraboot Bahamas. Review of these will be done too later on.

I've passively watched a few videos about engineer boots and I never felt like I could put them off. They have a very bold style to them and often come in at a steep price. But I respect the people who can make them apart of their wardrobe. If I got some redwings they would probably be the Beckmans but the flatbox version with the kind of teacore leather. How many months a year can you wear these? I was in Korea over the summer and it was hot.
@@cheddarbuttersworth2441 Hey, hope you had a great week. I’d say about 9 months. They are hard to wear in summer here, because of humidity. Hope you get the Beckmans someday, they seem great. :)
@@godo_denims 9 months is pretty good.
Show full backside as well 👎🏿👎🏿
You mean with the outfits, right? I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for the feedback
I've noticed with all my PNW boots, they feel harsh and stiff every time I put them on. After wearing them for a few hours and heating them up, they mold to my foot and are super comfortable. I kept thinking it was a breaking in issue. But I now realize it is just the leather. It is stiff when cold and takes a bit of time to warm up and become supple.
@@Nordic_Sky I haven’t experienced them in the colder seasons yet, but they did become softer and easier to wear for now. Thanks for letting me know!

Kapital has a lot of crazy designs. I do like the red accents and the collar. Most of the fleece I have seen is in polyester, I think I have a fleece pullover in recycled polyester.
@@cheddarbuttersworth2441 Yes I agree most of them are made with polyester. It’s interesting how some polyester fleeces feel so different to the touch. This one feels much softer and better than the cheaper ones.
@@godo_denims Yes, normally I try to avoid polyester but it seems almost impossible if you want a fleece item. Still, good that yours feels higher quality because Kapital stuff is not cheap.
@@cheddarbuttersworth2441 Same for me too, I try to stick with natural materials as well. Although not all products using 100% natural materials are high quality, it’s still a good sign. Thanks for the comment as always!

Hello! Good day, i'm new to levi's. i have one exactly just like this, i was just wondering if yours have a serial stamp on the button enclosure? Mine does not have it so does it mean it's fake? But the quality is on point stitchings etc. Etc. Mine is made in bulgaria tho. Thank you! Hope you reply ♥️
@@iriemotorsport9438 Hey there, I’m not totally sure what you mean by serial stamp, but my button ans rivets do have levis logo engraved on them. Also there are a lot of fake levis put there so it is diffcult to just check one part and tell if a pair of jeans is fake or not.
@@iriemotorsport9438 www.wikihow.com/Spot-Fake-Levi%27s I’ll leave a link about how to spot a fake levis, but the best way may be comparing it to a real one and seeing the differences on all labels and tabs including the printing on the inner pockets.
@@godo_denims the one on the button fly (back part) do all of them have serial/code on them? Glad you replied.
@@iriemotorsport9438 oh I see mine doesn’t have any, but I think that’s a detail they did on purpose because the top button printings didn’t come until the 60s and these 501s are a remake of the 1947s version. So it depends on what year version your levis are. Also if it’s a real vintage, there are a lot of other details you can check of as well depending on the year

How much shrinkage did you get after the first wash?
@@Mike-kc2vz I didn’t measure the shrinkage but it felt like a size or two below from the original state.
I just got mine last week. No maker label but size label said 100% Coton which is French for cotton and the size 42 was in red. It was the best of the lot as I wanted one that first of all fit me and second was a vibrant blue and not faded. I'll be handwashing only mine using detergent for dark clothes. One thing I need to change sadly is the wrist buttons as I don't like having to undo cuff buttons when putting on a coat, looks like I have space to move the cuff buttons over one button length. Thanks for your review, they are almost unheard of in Canada but I'd certainly buy a Vetra is I saw one.
Thanks for the sincere comment! New Vetra may be scarce since their staff are limited, but I've seen many vintage ones too. Also beauty of cintage french work jackets can be shared through many other brands, even the ones that have closed down. Hope you enjoy yours :)
