do they hibernate in a den like polar bears?
Not really. They usually migrate away from Antarctic continent to stay in water above freezing and comes back near the coast every summer to reproduce. When summer approaches they come close to coast, make a holes in the sea ice and come out for sun.
@@vermaatulk oh, thank you :) i've become quite interested in polar wildlife in the past few weeks and i didn't know they would swim such long distances!
