It’s baffling how many times I go to a half million dollar home and the homeowners dont know how to use the water, gas and electrical emergency shutoffs. This video sounds like a funny concept to explain such simple things but its absolutely a useful tool that atleast one person will learn something from. Your local hardware store sells a T shaped tool near the shovels that also has a L shaped hook on top. This is to open your water meter base and then shutoff the main valve. This is what you must do if your yard sprinkler system fails as its tied in upstream from the homes garage or closet shutoff. Buy one and leave it by the overhead door because you will need it in a hurry one day.

This is very misleading. Typical track home builder misleading it's clients. This guy has never used tools in his life.

A felony to turn the valve off? In what fascist jurisdiction do you work in? Not everyone has a shut off valve in their house. I call mega major BS on your felony claim. Stop lying.

Everything on the billable side of the meter is the responsibility of the customer, this entitles the customer to access for any reason. “They put a valve in your garage”… thanks for the interior failure point, but if I can’t touch the line from the tap in to the garage, who can? If you say a contractor, then you must know a contractor is assuming the rights of a property owner… that’s GC 101. What I believe these charlatans want you to think is that you cannot legally repair your supply line as a property owner. That is overtly false, stipulated in your contract for public utilities, and most importantly… A fraudulent claim of felony charges from a private entity! I hope people like this, who try to scare consumers with threats of felony charges (under false pretenses, in self benefit, with no authority to investigate/accuse/charge/prosecute under the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, are sued out of existence.

from my knowledge you’re allowed to mess with it but you can’t fix it or take it apart etc turning your water off at the main is a very legitimate thing it’s how contractors work on water lines and what not when performing fresh installs onto an old meter you have the customer side and the city side unknown operation of the meter can result in a bsck flow and contaminate the city supply hence why if messing with it inappropriately is considered a felony

Imagine that. Mess with THEIR meter, it's a felony. They mess with OUR bill, it's fine.

That’s not what floating refers to It refers to the installation process not the preparation. Unlike hardwood and tile where nails and/or glue or mortar is used to bond the floor to the substrate, “floating” installation uses no form of fastening. Hence the term floating

Why is it in the middle of the driveway? Very unusual. Someone could be parked over it at any moment.

On cold days, the warm air from the house condenses in the cooler attic which has no adequate ventilation due to the moisture-proof foam. Nowhere for the moisture to go except into the beams and rafters. This is why, at least in the UK, most mortgagees won't touch properties with spray foam insulation. We had to replace the roof when we moved into our house (although we did negotiate a chunky discount because of the foam).

Many houses that get this become uninsurable because there's no way of checking for leaks and mold under that garbage. It's crazy they can even still sell it in my opinion.

But what happens if there is a roof leak?

  • @stanleywhite4404

What’s the process like in a roof repair after things like branches break through the roof. Is it easy to cut away with minimal mess or does it flake like styrefoam. If so and it’s attracted to static, it would make for a very problematic time getting it out. Also is there need to have it redone for better efficiency after say ten years time ?

What happens when you get a roof leak? Impossible to detect.

    • @blakedudley4692

Not impossible. Most of this spray foam is open cell so still relatively easy to assess and repair.
