    I had a bit of time to try this new way to use a long arm and had fun making a few of them (4 on the same WOF backing since it was there. I noticed that Angela commented fairly early on the video that she would put approximate sizes of each piece of fabric at the end of the video and I never saw that. So one of the times I made one, I wrote down what my sizes were. So... Tree trunk 3x8"; Left side of tree background 4x6"; right side of tree trunk 4x8"; (the next 8 pieces are from bottom to top of the treeI) 4"x6"; 2.5"x6"; 3.5"x5"; 3.5"x4"; 3.5"x4"; 2.5"x3"; 2.5"x2.5"; 2"x2". Piece of background needed for left side of quilt= 4x22" Piece of background needed for right side of quilt = 6"x18".

    I would love to see a more detailed video showing a more complex repairing your pattern (i.e. correcting a pattern that is slowly going awry on a big quilt with fairly tight quilting).

    How do you set up quilt pathto do a pattern a block

    • @ThreadWaggle
      @ThreadWaggle 2 місяці тому

      Using Select and Sew. Chose the pattern you want to quilt and then you get to use the placement settings to place the block. If you are new try Block Stretch which will let you set the top left and bottom right of the block on your quilt surface to place and size the pattern you have chosen.

    What does "cutting the quilt" mean? Also, you clicked on a box next to "pattern fitting" near the end of the video, but you didn't say what that does.

      Make sure your WiFi is on then, on your Home Screen go to Help in the top right, choose Software Management and then Check for updates, then Update now from online files. If there is an update for your Quilt Path it will be listed, check the box and it start the download.

    Great review, thank you for mentioning turning off during a storm. I never sew when we are having storms. QUESTION, you marked the middle of the zone, I go to the top left side. Does it matter? Thanks for sharing all of your great knowledge!

      It's complete about how you feel like you get control. I will be teaching 4 points too. It's just easier for newbies to learn one option then learn other ways the can do things later. So keep using the top left if that is where you are comfortable.

    Thanks Angela! Why should we avoid the pull bobbin button? I’ve been using it and have not noticed anything unusual.

    • @ThreadWaggle
      @ThreadWaggle 6 місяців тому

      Because there are known issues with Bobbin Pull, the largest being that it does not always give you the interface to mark the next zone. But there are other movement based issues too.

    I'm a little confused. If I have a thread Sensor and I Wrap thread guide BEFORE sensor, I do running stitch on the thread guide after? Just want to make sure I understand.

    • @ThreadWaggle
      @ThreadWaggle 6 місяців тому

      Yes, you only do the wraps around the guide once (that pretensions your thread) and if you have a thread break sensor that needs to happen before the sensor wheel.

      Rose, do you have the book from your beginner's class handy? Things that can cause directional tension start on page 17. I would be looking to make sure my hopping foot is level, that my machine is threaded correctly, is the sandwich tension where I want it.
