Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. A present shipped in from Germany in 4 working days has started 2023 on a very positive note. These excellent lightweight handcuffs have outstanding security.....although I know Coxy has already "cracked" them ;-) and I think they will give me a lot of pleasure over the coming weeks. After a recent disappointment with a faulty pair of Hiatt Darby Handcuffs, I felt the need to revisit my high security (3 lever lock, no standard handcuff key will fit) Chubb IK70 handcuffs with the addition of my Clejuso Prisoner Belt, a lovely leather creation, totally secure when applied, but unfortunatly I have put on a little weight around the tummy area making it a very tight combination....

Feeling rather deflated due to delivery of some beautiful looking Hiatt Darbys, only to discover a non repairable fault, so I felt the need to have a little Peerless session with the C&S Black Box and had forgotten just how quickly they become extremely uncomfortable :-()....I pity those poor individuals who suffer this means of restraint for extended travel periods.....

A birthday present to myself!...a pair of Repro Adjustable Hiatts Darby Cuffs, probably originating from the southern hemisphere ( I have a similar pair of non adjustable repros, but the keys are not interchangeable!!!) After a good clean using the tried and tested SbD methods I now feel they need a quick demonstration....all OK except one of the lock mechanisms is still slightly malfunctioning...

Hello! hoping you are all still out there....tonight I rather stupidly locked myself in these Clejuso 102A (Small Bow) Handcuffs for an hour and had forgotten just how uncomfortable they are....Germany sure as hell knows how to make some of the best and most secure handcuffs :-)

After a long break....hello! I aquired these rather nice Smith & Wesson M100-1 M&P Black after a heads up from Silent but Descriptive, all the way from the USofA via Germany!...upon arrival one of the double locks was very stiff, but a liberal dose of WD40 Dry PTFE seems to have cured the problem. A recent aquisition after seeing SbD's excellent video. These Alphaproj(AKA Ralkem) No.9924 are a product from the same factory in the Czech Republic that produced the "Bren" LMG for the British Army many moons ago, a weapon that I had experience of in the late 60's! Finally....a big Thank You to Deadlocks for filling this gap in my collection. I had been after a pair of these wonderful 70/80's vintage model cuffs for quite a while and Deadlocks obliged....they bring back fond memories of those superb American Cop shows like Policewoman with Angie Dickinson and The Streets of San Fancisco etc, etc.....enjoy....I did....thank's for the memories :-)

Hello, a quick "try on" of these fabulous 1970's vintage Hiatts handcuffs (a big thank you to SbD) Another gap filled in my collection:-) They have cleaned up quite nicely, but even with copious amounts of cleaning fluid and dry PTFE lube, the double locks are still a little stiff, and I would not like to be restrained for too long in these cuffs as the bows are not as well finished as some of ...

Just a quick showcase of a fab pair of ankle boots bought in the sales this weekend :-)....paired with the exquisite Brushed Stainless Steel Shackles (V. comfortable;-)) with Burg & Wachter core locks (separately keyed!) and to finish the ensemble the High Security (Blue Lock) ASP Ultra Cuffs. Just a short video to show case my recently aquired KUB928 ankle shackles, a very comfortable and close fitting option as I found when I inavertantly locked myself in them for 7 hours recently. They have a very basic locking device, but without access to suitable tools and/or the keys you are well and truly secured....as I found out to my pleasure ;-)

Now the promised follow up! The leg irons have received a clean, and lube and are now working very smoothly and snap on easily, I just had to be careful not to damage my boots, as they were a very snug fit...no possibility of slipping out :-).....then a link up to the prisoner transport belt and my J G Backstrap Darby handcuffs, a nicely restrictive combination. Delivered today, just a very quick "try on" of these exquisite Hiatts Darby leg irons. Heavy weight at 1.05kg so you know they are locked on. These could be showcased at a later date with my equally vintage Hiatts handcuffs :-)

How to buy?
Did you know that thumbcuffs can be used as Toecuffs? Model N-200 handcuffs made by American handcuff company ( some times called over sized handcuffs for special security applications ) are the perfect size to be locked on ankles. They are just legirons with a very short chain. It could be some thing you could do in a future video.

I've been eyeing these Perfecta cuffs (I think they were sold or produced by Umarex). They are cheap, and one of the reasons might be because they aren't tested for NIJ standard.
