I’m sorry Joe…..these locations have been visited by many others. You need to focus on unique places, things, etc. to keep my interest. Your choice of music appears amateurish.
Joe another excellent video! Sub’d. Where are you out of? I am in Reno and do a ton of jeep exploring, we should hook up!
I'm in Spanish Springs. I'm ok with going exploring with other people. I don't plan many of my trips until the day of or 1 or 2 days before. I make up some of this stuff. I want to go back there to find that other cabin in the mountains, and that my require a hike, if you're up for hiking. I probably won't get that chance until the spring.
Joe what was that ranch down in the valley at 3:15?
Those are just corrals. There is a ranch about 2 miles from there, but I have no idea what the name is.
What about the water source? Gotta be water somewhere...
There is a spring up on Moho Mountain.
I was curious about this ghost town, thanks for the video and the info!
Theres something on the side of your mouth wipe it off!!
Hi Joe, nice production quality on the video. You are a growing channel like mine so I subscribed for you and gave you a thumbs up. Good luck on your UA-cam journey
When you see magazines look at the date. My advise for you is to watch Wonder Hussy, she has been doing what your doing for years and has got it down.
Beautiful video, so interesting. It was a very special home, and location, for this family. I’m sure many happy memories were made there. The desert is my favorite place. It’s so enchanting and mystical. Thank you for sharing.
That's supposed to be a wild burro range around Marietta. It looks awfully dry to be able to support them.
I didn't see any on this trip, but I have seen them there before. There is at least one spring in those mountains.
Great video, I enjoyed it! Love the desert
Good video 👍. It reminded of an old spaghetti western intro. I kept expecting Clint Eastwood, or Eli Wallach, to walk around the corner of a building. 😅 Good stuff
I wish I could be more positive about your video. I was a neat cabin. Did you read anything in that journal that made you think the family had just abandoned the place? Do you think that maybe family members still come to this cabin? Do you think that now that it's been on UA-cam that maybe a bunch of yahoos will come visiting and vandalize and graffitti the place as so often happens to places considered to be "abandoned"?
There was nothing in the journal that indicated who built it. The Foster family has been using it as a hunting cabin for quite some time. As for vandals, I didn't give an exact location and it's very hard to find and get to. There are cabins like this all over the Great Basin Desert, and no one destroys anything.
@@joeoutabout2947 It took about 10 minutes to find on Google Earth Pro with the information from this video. The wide shots with the nearby peaks narrow the area down. Run the family name into Google and see they had a mining claim in the same area. Search around that area and there's a cabin with an "F" painted on the roof. Not as easy as a Wonderhussy video, but nothing anyone with a decent internet connection and Google Earth Pro couldn't handle. Probably faster than me.
Thanks for sharing. Google earth might help ya
You now have a subscriber from Sicilia, Italy! What a nice cabin you found. :)
Rock on dude!! Keep em coming...
Feeble minded for sure.
Great video! Subscribed. What mtn range is that? Been to Marietta but dont recall mtns looking like that near there……
Those are the Excelsior Mtns on the north side of Marietta.
Excellent job. I enjoyed the video very much. Thanks for the tour
GREAT VISION AND BACK GROUND SCORE
Can you fish that creek?
I didn't see any fish, but I know that the state used to stock it in the past.

Great info. The video was amazing! Awesome job!
Anyone pay attention to the weather in Bodie? Used to show up in my newspaper as the coldest place in California. Summer or winter. Been there twice about 20 years apart. Never saw anyone else. Interesting place to walk around.
Good job. It's hard to believe that Bodie was once a thriving town...and now it barely exists. 🤠👍
Look at Virginia City now. It's hard to believe there were over 20,000 people there once.
I loved the trip back in time and the history. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Too hot out there Joe! Come back in Dec
In December there will be a foot of snow. I'd rather have the hot sun.
😎👍 nice video. The miners probably left because of the tarantulas 🤯...😂
Thanks
Nice to see!
Is the ground clearance sufficient withal the sunken living room?
Believe it or not, it doesn't have a problem with clearance. I take it off the pavement on a regular basis and have never had a problem with the sunken living room. The bumper and the foot on the tongue are a different story.
People call trailers RVs all the time. It is not an recreational vehicle. It will go nowhere without a tow vehicle hence the name camper or trailer. There is no motor.
Thank you
Is it pretty easy to Tow a trailer that size? If you go slow enough is the Sway pretty controlled?
it's very easy to tow. It doesn't wobble or sway. The wind doesn't effect it like bigger RV's. I generally keep at 70 mph and slower, but occasionally I'm not paying attention and will be driving faster, but it stays steady.
Changed a lot since I last visited it in Feb 2003 the same day the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated on reentry.
War is simply good business...until it bankrupts its host...
I think its excellent.
Nice video 👍. Thanks for sharing your visit
