" We got to talking, he asks why I'm in hospital, I tell him I didn't take too well to a round of chemo and it put me in critical condition which was true. I even sent him a pic of myself in the hospital bed. Was completely bald at that point. No eyebrows, nothing. He's like " Oh God. Are you gonna be okay? " - we keep talking, he learns I was in remission and is super happy, we start hanging out, we start running arenas together, we start playing other games together... And... unfortunately two years ago he... passed away violently in a car crash... was in the passenger seat with a friend that was doing stupid shit and... completely slammed the passenger side of the car into a large oak tree... Badly hurt the driver, killed Kas... Miss that guy. He was like the brother I never got to have. Both of my brothers were always horrible to me and he was the one homie that would just listen to you talk then try to help distract you from your problems. Most people never realize what they got until it's suddenly gone and it took a few months for it to sink in why I felt so hollow. I wasn't constantly logging onto games to say hi to him and see what we'd play together. He was gone. I kinda just was on autopilot and then one day I meet another person. Turned out they lived near me. They're a woman. We talk a bit more. She listens to me talking about dumb stuff like Warhammer lore. ... We've been dating the past three years now and still going strong. Warhammer crap landed me a girlfriend somehow and she kinda... pulls double duty as my girlfriend and best friend now... But I still on some nights miss hanging with the bro...
