Honestly, this movie is so underrated. One of my favourite films of all time.
Not sure if he used them again but I sure hope he used this actors in more of his projects and didnt drop them when he had a bidder budget.
He hired Jeremy Theobald as supporting characters in Nolan's next films, there are also two Cristopher short films, both starring Jeremy Theobald, John Nolan also worked on more Cristopher productions, specifically as a supporting character in Christopher's Batman trilogy. It's a shame that Alex Haw hasn't worked in more films, he's undoubtedly the best of the entire cast of The Follower.
I think Nolan is both Bill and Cobb, he's always a writer himself, he needs new ideas and he's tricked by his wisdom
SUCH a great debut... EXTREMELY low budget and clever idea and execution... still one of my TOP Nolan films
Sadly his recent movies, besides the fact he's a great director, are not so good. Don't get me wrong, is just that same guy has - also - Insomnia and The Prestige, true masterpieces.
@@OluapOirevlis are you bollocks? Haven't you seen Oppenheimer?
@@OluapOirevliswow i very much disagree with you
This film is soooo phucking good!!!! Especially considering the budget of $7k... only other film that is this level great with that budget is El Mariachi
Pi by Aronofsky as well.
Actually the budget was 6k
I wonder, after Tenet, a "soft" Bond-film, wtf can he have in his sleeve for a Bond film, as he said he does.
Nolan looks like Steve Mcgarrett

Please don't follow people like Cobb 😂🙏

I saw it in that theater in 70mm IMAX. We have to keep this form of showmanship alive!
Nolan is giness film maker
Dunkirk is a Masterpiece i love Chris Nolan very smart and talented Director
I get a lot of two face, Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde vibes too
Absolute legends, all of them!
The word protagonist😂😂2020
I like your story telling Nolan! Let me know your ideas on your next project. If your interested...
I like the voice of Nolan
Greatest director of our time. I can’t believe I was alive to witness it unfold.
How old were you in ‘98?
Too much talking and not enough roundhouse kick to face, or at all.
What do you mean? Genuinely curious

Such a great first film
I liked how Kenneth Branagh invoked Thomas Hardy, then Nolan joked, but Robbie Collin was keen enough to dig deeper, and Nolan revealed a true insight into process-drawing inspiration from City Lights for a resonant moment. Excellent Q&A, thank you!

I found Emma very attractive in this interview haha!
Bond 26 should be direct by Christopher Nolan and Kenneth as russian british or german villain
Kenneth looks young than Nolan.
I don't know, seems like a pretty pretentious movie to me. Interesting to see some of Nolan's early work though.
Although it was much less pretentious than his later films but yeah I get your point and I agree to it
@@abhiruproy8592 eh I like pretentious films
Good that it seems “pretentious” to you. Jeez
if you think this movie is pretentious then you haven't watched tenet
Yea this movie is not pretentious in any way. It's a good straight forward movie. Tenet is pretentious though.
B.U.L.G.E.
The only thing I don't like about Nolan's movies is when the characters litteraly explain the themes.
@Dr. Strangelove oh dr.strangelove, can you walk?
Yeah he’s a great writer is certain ways but not great in others
They don’t really do that, or not in a way that takes you out and is too self conscious. But no more than someone like Shakespeare
6:23 It's Harry Potter!
I did a double take too!

I'm watching this exactly after 2 years 🙄
I hope all these Nolan's burn in hell.
Brilliant insight. Much respect to you Nolan.

Ya great Tamil fans. First give him credit for Gajini. A R Moron Das.
Chris Nolan's wife is hot!
She never was an unattractive person proprely speaking, but I do find her kinda more attractive than usual in this video. She might be one to actually getting finer with age.
Nolan's clever debut.
What is Emma Chewing?
love FOLLOWING!
We trust in you, bro. You haven't let us down yet. Keep up the good work, Nolan.

Hi. What are there referring to when Christopher Nolan references silent films like 'City Lights' at the 5 min mark? I couldn't hear the beginning. Thanks!
They're talking about the misunderstanding between the soldier and the blind man (soldier thinks the man is averting his eyes) "It's my attempt to try and do something Chaplin-esque, and I'm a huge admirer of the silent era of films. Both Murnau and Chaplin would find some way to sentimentalise something in a visual way"
I love Kenneth Branagh!
