Congrats!!!! Beautiful bike!!!! I got a Pan america and am 😊considering trading it for the new road glide

I just did this mod on my 2024 RG and for the most part it went well, I may have cut out the hole a little bit larger, but nonetheless it fits… The only downside is the tongue or nose of the seat shows a wide gap at the front of the tank, that is understandable though as the new 2024 RG models have been redesigned from the fairing, gas tank, & saddle bags, the oem seat that I used came from ‘21 RGS & surprisingly, it looks & feels better on the rear end vs the OEM…thanks for sharing

Brian on my RZR if I go in to the radio settings and change it from North America to like Europe or another country the volume like doubles. But every time I start it I have to change it back to North America or some other country to get the high volume back. Maybe Harley has a similar safety on it.

Just a FYI, it is possible to put too much grease on the slide pins. Ive been told never to put it on the end of the pin, just lightly on the sides.

Good video.. People shouldn't be afraid to set the preload higher than Harley recommends.. I'm 200 lbs and I have a 40 lb king tour pak on my 24 Road Glide. The chart in the manual says to adjust the right shock preload to 13mm for this weight combo. That wasn't anywhere NEAR enough. I was bottoming hard on not so big bumps. I kept cranking up the preload and found the best ride was at 30mm. I also have the left shock set to 14 turns, (for 60 lbs of luggage)..

What did you use to tint the latches and tail lights?

I just bought a 2020 limited seat off of marketplace for my 2024 street glide. After fitting, im thinking about sending it off to mean city cycles to get recovered to make a little more presentable. Does the width of the passenger pillion interfere with the saddlebags?

The only time the looks of that seat matter is when you’re walking up to it to get on it, that boils down to “doesn’t matter”; what does matter is how well it suits your backside and that lasts a lot longer than the ‘look’. Ride your ride, Brother!

I kept my 2022 Heritage stock with stock mufflers. I like to be able to hear my front tire and the beautiful whine of the counter balancers. I put 52,000 kilometres (32,000 miles) on the bike in 2 1/2 driving seasons. I had a noisy Sportster for 7 years. I do a lot of miles and got tired of the noise. Keepin' my baby quiet and stock thank you very much. BTW, I did not notice any difference concerning the safety issue. Also, I don't need the TV volume as loud as I used to!!!

If you really like the Harley Davidson road glide, you should definitely try and Indian roadmaster. A Harley is definitely the Cadillac of touring bikes, but if you’re one of those guys that requires the Rolls-Royce of touring bikes, you’ll buy an Indian.

I adjusted the suspension to my weight. When I add the tour pack and my wife, I make a few adjustments to the left and it works perfectly. I have owned several Road Glides over the years, and these are the best stock shocks I have encountered. They may not be the absolute best shocks available, but they perform quite well..

In my opinion it really does not matter the look as long as it works for your needs. Love the sharkskin blue bike and I’m glad you figured it out to use the older seat that makes a better ride.

Did you need to tune it after the slip on? Harley wants me to put a tuner on it to compensate for the air intake for the change in the exhaust

Well they stuck with the two pogo sticks on the back once again-the Indian pursuit rode phenomenal but Harley’s are smoother there’s no doubt about that

I'm very impressed with the suspension, when it gets set to your set up. Finally MOCO listened to us. Took me a few tries to get it right, the 4mm wasn't enough, so I added 10 clicks on the left and wow. I went back and did one extra turn on the right, then backed the left down to 5, and that is the sweet spot for me.

You can use tape to pattern the opening of the original seat and transfer it to the seat and cut the slot to specific size needed.

I have that same seat on my 2016 Street Glide. It was comfortable. It is finally getting worn out after 107600 miles. I will either get a new one or have it rebuilt.

Perfect. I have a seat from my old bike that I put on it whenever I had a passenger. I sold my old bike and kept the seat because I was hoping to make it work for the new bike as well. I'll have a look at doing this. Thanks!

the seat comes front what year and model i'm going to try to find one not to expensive so my wife can stop busting my .... on our longer rides

If my 1998 Road Glide ever gets a code im calling a Catholic Priest to perform an exorcism as my bike has no computers on it and is carbureted. Lol

Wood Stove Paint is best. Brand called "Stove Bright" works and looks best IMO - Brake Caliper paint will hold up on the shields

I've been using rattle can high heat paint on my mufflers, heat shields and pipes for years. Never had an issue, stuff is bullet proof. I like that color on your bike btw.
