Got this in the early 2000s because I read in a magazine that it was a favorite of Julia Roberts (unisex fragrance). I loved it and wore it for years. Bought it again a couple years ago and it did not smell like I remembered. Smelled strongly of alcohol in the opening, a bit like bug spray and I went nose blind to it pretty quickly. So it’s been in the cupboard ever since. I need to try it again. Maybe just got a bad batch or counterfeit??
@@iwillstom Definitely, I will say I go blind to it and am shocked when others still smell it later in the day on me. I also had to go EDP to minimize the alcohol opening feel.
I just got familiar with this scent about 9months and finally got my nose on it about 2 weeks ago and I am absolutely putting in an order for a bottle.

Could have not described it better. Been wearing this for almost 40 years. People love it.
I just got a sample and I like it. But with that being said, I wouldn’t buy a full bottle because I already have Instant Crush. I pick up that same sweet vibe so it seems a little redundant. But like IC, this is very addictive imo.

My grandfather gave me his bottle back in 77. Wore it on the bus during school trips outa town. Haven’t smelt it since 78. Just ordered a bottle and am truly looking forwards to reuniting with it.

I have it on now, it hasn't dried down yet but so far, a few words to describe this perfume: Grand, hope, clash, church service, magic, minty, elderly black grandparents, nostalgia, flowers. I feel like it is a scent that would make me remember all the little details of an interaction with a person. Like an old special person I briefly interacted with years ago but it changed my life. That kind of thing.

A unique technique to be sure! 🤜🤛 Back of the traps, front of the traps and top of the forearms works best for me. Back of the head too in the summer. In the winter I'll add the outside of the shoulders and solar plexus. Never messed around with the wrists, neck or any pulse points for that matter. Lot of trial and error to find what works best for me. 🧡
It's definitely trial and error and took me yrs to get there. Learning curve was quick once I always had my kids hanging off me. Had to figure out how to stop getting Oud on my daughter. 😂

I do, a lotta people don't understand when they go nose blind but others can still smell it. Iris is one of those type of notes. I usually ask people I'm close to.. can they smell me and with this it's always still, yes. Thanks so much for watching and asking. 🙏🏽
