fmr sounds kinda like my 166xl the 369 retails for $900 AUD here i can get a decent second hand gear for that money it did sound good though

I would change the plastic knobs, get some lighted meters and install some 1/4 inch in and outs on the back... as for functionality, I hear that it works just fine!

Behringer has been a crap company for so many years, making things with zero innovation, zero forethought and led by people with no ethics that are purely driven by profit. The physical version of selling cracked software. So the “abacus” is a POS product marketed to folks who have a similar disdain for ethics and morality in business or are probably just ignorant.

Well, maths is a clone as well, I went with Function Junction originally, and just go abacus, so using both are yielding more interesting results!

People always say "just use samples" (actually I do) and while you can make 'em sound good, they don't sound anything like a real analog analog/digital drum machine hybrid.

Indeed, Behringer have become incredibly proficient at reverse-engineering and stealing intellectual property. I, for once, choose to spend more money and buy from original manufacturers (within my price range) if only for the main reason that while Behringer make everything more affordable to the consumer, they are chopping the legs of the original manufacturers and by that they are killing the industry. And this is even before what I know about their overall conduct.

Same patterns, but the 9 is swinging hard and the 8 is mostly straight in these examples. Makes for a crazy difference in groove.

A similar unit is observed on German tv presentation of *Timmy Thomas* performing "Why can't live toghether". If the sing is from 1973, sure used the inmediatelly previous Hammond model 🤔

I dont understand the module, I just got it directly from Magerit and can't figure out how the SPACE knob works, and all the sub menus... can you do a tutorial?? I would be fantastic if you do a factory RESET of the module, and start with that... explain what the colors mean etc! thank you Mr Penis!

Great comparison. I still find it very hard to buy Behringer who are copying the research and development of the small businesses they are copying. These are luxury items - not food or health necessities. I think we need to make sure the true creative companies (especially smaller businesses) are viable. Remember, the profit made from a Maths helps the designers take risks on less profitable modules (which Behringer would never consider copying). I think for luxury items it is 100% worth investing in the future, and not funding ripoffs. Remakes of things out of production are a total different topic.
