Thank you dude for posting this. This is the first FF album I ever listened to in 04 when I was Iraq and it fit perfectly. Still to this day, I think it’s their best album ever. One of my personal favorites and past times is to listen to this album and reading Warhammer 40k (1st WH 40k book I ever read was in Iraq of the same year and deployment).

Such a great album.. first few times listening to it, I had a hard time vibing with it, then it became my soundtrack to 2023. Still rocking out to it in 2024 and excited for what's next with DT

Am i right that Shattered Fortress contains a lot of reworking of earlier themes? I recognise things off Octavarium particularly. This whole album is amazing though. Such depth and range and headbanging. 🤘

Russo is a great singer in his own right and Symphony X is awesome live and in the studio Dream Theater is also great too no pun intended that James is a good singer but he needs to get himself together to become the best vocals that he can be for Dream Theater but if you ask me both bands are great in their own right there is no comparison.

It's a shame that more Americans don't know of the breed....I love every single song

I used to sleep on this album but fuuuuck! Navene Koperweis kills it on the drums. Very slept on but easily one of the best instrumental metal albums out there. What a powerhouse band ⚡️

Uno de mis discos favoritos. Diría que es el album más autentico de la carrera de Edu: baladas, algo de power, metal moderno, voz grave, mucho feeling e interpretación. Lo escuché apenas salió en la época. En general, Almah fue un proyecto fenomenal! Motion y FE también son obras maestras

Jason Rullo might not be the best drummer technically, though he's an absolute beast, but he's the best drum song writer. Also, hot take, Symphony X is better live than Dream Theater live. Russell Allen is just more skilled at his instrument. Idk if that because LaBrie had his vocal injury or Allen has a better vocal teacher, but Allen's live vocals are great. Dream Theater has a better stage presence.
