The purpose of this videos is for educational knowledge for mountain bikers. Please do not post negative, insulting, mocking and inappropriate comments. The rider is riding his hardtail mtb (only legends can ride that). He is very skilled and talented when it comes to MTB. Thank you. Sunku tokią burę iškelti iš vandens.
EZ Uphaul makes it easier to pull this huge sail out of the water.
Looks really boring, heavy and cumbersome… a 9.5 sail, sweet Jesus. I wouldn’t even bother. I admire your courage, but when I take out my JP superlightwind board and my 8.5 freerace sail (even that I often find too heavy and annoying), I am much quicker than this.
Dank.
Love the old MIstral long boards, I have a mid large board (no dagger board) and often find I cna plane sooner, or even sail at all, when those on modern high volume wide boards can't ... it's the sharp rails, a design detail lost, also the long fins were in a way foils, creating lift. Design either returns roudn again or the good stuff is lost. Nothing like being abel to sit back into the harness 9even hands off boom) on a well trimmed large rigged cruiser board, such a great feeling of balance.
Nice kit! You know you're supposed to put the masttrack in the front and the daggerboard down when going opwind right? You'll shoot upwind like a modern yacht. In light wind this can be faster than reaching. On a reach you retract the daggerboard and move the masttrack more back. You only set it right in the back in a lot of wind on a downwind course. If the wind is moderate you can leave it a little more in the middle to prevent tail sink and get ont the plane earlier. I have a video of my f2 lightning courseracer om my channel.
agree, with my Mistral IMCO, to properly sail upwind you need mastrack full aft
No way! Did you shop at Windsurfing Unlimited back in the day? Bob Singer and Dave Loop were awesome!
What board did you use this fin?
I remember these boards well, although an F2 was my ride. Racing them at close quarters in all winds, driving them hard upwind (we used all the mast track's range), giving her her head offwind and just cruising round a smooth gybe at the mark with splashes behind as others borked theirs. Then there were the tactical duels and the rush as you got past another rival. Huge fun!
The name of the speed counter?
Jezus dude, learn gybing....please....
He is, that's how you learn...
Why didn't you use the dagger board?
Friend, I have a similar equipment, a Mistral EQ 2 XR with a MAUI 9 sail. Excellent navigation, my congratulations. What a beautiful table. I watch the video and I see myself navigating the same way. Big greetings from the Entre Ríos Argentina Federation
Thank you very much my friend. I have won few races with this board.
Ah,,,the Big Ol Girls are still fun to ride ;)
Love it
I was exhausted after watching this.... I don't think I'll ever longboard again. Uphauling massive sails in order to get a heavy board moving. Your video reminded me of my childhood frustrations when I first learned to sailboard. You definitely got a great workout!
Easy uphaul helps a lot. 😁
looks nice.do you use your mast track at all i have a f2 lightning and only have it in the back position when its windy :)
Hi Chris, I do use my mast track all the time. If it is not that windy then I will place all the way forward. It helps me to point better.
If you don't mind, I'd like to know what size rear skeg you used on this setup? I have recently acquired a Mistral Equipe II XR and have a 7.8 sail. I have a 42 fin and a much smaller fin, but need to know my options on a board this size.
sorry what do you mean by " rear skeg"?
Sorry. I meant fin. What size fin were you using with this setup?
The 42 should be fine for reaching and pointing. You can go smaller with a 7.8, but you will get better pointing ability with the 42.
@@wlyounce375 Small Sail = Small fin. Large sail= large fin.
With my 9.5 if the wind is too low then I use 38 or 40.
Can you please pixhawk 4 program bro
Nice man, yo where’d you launch and how deep is it there? Want to windfoil
Thanks. Here is the address, I launch just back of Assateague Outfitters, 12003 Bayside Dr, Berlin, MD 21811. . About first 150 yards it is really shallow but it will get deeper after. .
Why you lick me?!
Which color option would you recommend, keeping long term use in mind, the one which in ur opinion wud hide the scratches better...? Black one or silver one?
Both colors are good and well looking as fashion wise. If you are using your head phone rough as I do then they will last about two years or less. If take care of it then they will last you many many years. It all depends on how you treat them.
sliver
I sayyyyyyyy black
