On our channel you can follow our journey around the world and our preparation for the next triathlon races. We do not have a plan, we just cycle, hike, run, swim and move from day to day.
On our blog www.tritotravel.com you find more detailed information about the routes, our gear, the bikes etc.

Josien was riding and Franklin, Nick, Marc, Justin and Cedric were taking care of all the support: changing the bikes, nutrition, arranging the car for sleeping, etc. It was an amazing team effort in horrific weather conditions. One of our best experiences! Will definalet want to do this again! Video made by: Cedric F...
Bikepacking Armenia

In May 2021we traveled three weeks in Armenia on our gravel bikes, before heading to Uzbekistan. Way too short! Armenia was probably the best country of our one year travel. The nature, the food, the people... an unforgettable experience. This is a short impression of our experience, we will post more detailed videos to give a better impression of the roads, our route & how it is to travel the ...
Bikingman Portugal 2022 - Finding the Limit vs. Exploring Portugal
Переглядів 3 тис.2 роки тому
When we signed up for our first Ultra Cycling Race, we both preferred a different approach. For Franklin it was a chance to zone out and enjoy a week of vacation on the bike, for Josien it was a challenge to find her own limits. Franklin's objective was to eat local food, explore the small towns and enjoy the sun. Josien wanted to finish as quickly as possible and experience long-distance cycli...

I love Tanzania
On July 29, 2018 at approximately 3:30 pm, while seven Western cyclists were cycling the Kulyab-Dushanbe highway (A385) next to the village of Safobakhsh on the Danghara district, about a 100 km south of Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe, 5 assailants driving a Daewoo sedan made a U-turn and rammed into them with their vehicle; then, they got out of the car and stabbed them with some knives and an axe. Four cyclists died and two were injured. According to Radio Free Europe, the men were searching for a target in order to perpetrate a terrorist attack and found the cyclists "by chance" on the highway; their backer agreed with the target on July 28 and they then followed them until the attack. Four touring cyclists died, Jay Austin and Lauren Geoghegan, from the US, who were on a world cycling tour, René Wokke, a Dutch citizen, and Markus Hummel from Switzerland. One Swiss and one Dutch were admitted in the hospital in critical condition while a Frenchman who had fallen behind the group before the attack remained unharmed.
What's about Part 3?
Do you have any gpx of your journey? Could you share it? I have been visited Uzbekistan and Tajikistan last octobre by backpacking and dream abut bikepacking trip next year.

Great video and trip. NZ is beautiful. Love seeing the same campsite we have stayed several times near Taupo.
Love it!!! The first adventure of baby Javi :)) Cant wait for part 2 :)
Part two will be online soon! 😊
Hi, biggest respect for your physical achievements, I envy you so much for the places you travel to, starting from Brazil to tajikistan, nepal and now the latest video. Thank you and I wish you, your husband and your child the best.
Thats awsome! Thanks a lot for the kind words! Meanwhile our son is born and hope to be able to show him a little bit of this beautiful world as well!
Welkom to Tajikistan
Great experience, You both - only some technical inconveniences (windshield for the mic and speaking beyond noises) are disturbing the proper reception. But You did feel good on Your journey? Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much for the feedback, Stephan! We had an amazing time on the trip. We didn’t put too much effort into filming it perfectly, but the place definitely deserves more attention. 😊
Wonderful scenery
Absolutely amazing ride but day 2 was brutal. Fun but brutal. Thank you for the info in advance and the heads up. Just finished. Love the ride and experience.
What is the name and type of this bike?
Ridley Kanzo.

Great! What size of tyre?
Hello, I will ride this next summer. From your video footage the impression is that roads are fairly good, meaning mostly ridable and not necessary to hike-a-bike for longer sections. At the same time, most reports I see state that riders use quite a lot of time to cover the ~300km between Rushon and Karakul. Since I am doing the trip during holidays, I plan to spend 3-4 days for this section. Would you believe this is possible?
Great footage, nice trip ⛰️☀️

terrible video!
Wow great video. I'm hoping to cycle that route this summer. Was it ever too cold for camping? What time of year were you there?
Hi. Nive you liked the video :) We went end of June and it was quite hot when below 3500m. Camping was always fine.
Nice! Would you recommend gravel or mountain bike for this trip?
Looks great, do you have a route record?
I’m your new subscriber from Nepal 🇳🇵 love ❤️ your content 😊
Welcome to the channel 🤩!! We would love to go back to Nepal for more adventures like this

Hi, I love your videos! Can you tell me where to find guides to get into Upper mustang region
Hi there. we are glad you like our videos. They are the honest result of incredible trips. Guides for Upper Mustang you can find in the Thamel area in kathmandu. We met our guide in a bike shop. -> Himalayan Single Track Pvt. Ltd. oposite the shop there is a cafe where guides and cyclist used to meet up.
Do you think hydraulic brake fluids get air bubbles with the changing pressure from such altitudes. Maybe mechanical disc brakes is a more reliable option? Regardless, amazing ride - am envious of your adventure!!
Hi Jonathan. No no worries with that. We took our bikes many times in the planes and bubbles in the system were never the issue.
bunda means ass
It is very nice to watch travellers for English development
Having seen a few of your nice videos around the world, I knew you were an accomplished bikepacker, but damn you are a strong rider! Big performance! Congrats ...a year later.
Thank you for the kind words!! Was a great experience at the Tortour! I love these challenges!
Beautiful video thanks for sharing. I am planning to go soon.
Thank's! Enjoy it! Is a beautiful place!
Amazing view at the top! How many snakes did you see?
Luckliy only one! That one was already big and dangerous enough :))
November 11, 2023 we doing it again.
I was so lucky to have had clear view!
Lovely disc brakes
Hey guys, you did this trip during rainy season? During the time of landslides and floods??? Incredible.......
hi. Actually was before just before the rainy season. the weather was good. A few weeks later things looked mouch worse...
why??? why the bicyclers are abssessed with loud nonstop background music?? noisy
Brings back so many great memories.
Do you need a permit to do the Pamir Highway?
Yes. you need a permit (which is easy to get) to enter the area/province
I loved the video. I’m curious what’s the music starting at 8:40m
Amazing !
Hi, beautiful!! I m planing to climb up too, although I will be so scared. I cant find an tour operator. I need advise, please.
I think that the major issue that may occur on big bike travels far from home are muggings because they are gonna take all your money and documents and you will be in the middle of nowhere with no one to help you and nothing to eat.. Do you set any backup in case it happens?
It is indeed something difficult to project and plan... Generally in countries like Nepal, Armenia Tajikistan this is not an issue at all as the these countries are very safe. In countries like Brazil we did have copies of our documents somewhere else. Per example: we always travel with 2 passports; one we have with us and 1 we deposit somewhere ( friends, hotels, family..) also have copies of documents on save clouds help in case you loose everything.
@@tritotravel it’s a good idea.. i was thinking about doing bike traveling and I could use a providence like these... thanks for the tip!👌✌️
