Making believe. Love it !
I can make a track for this.. This would be another good tune to play.. I really love the mid-range you're getting here. I just don't agree with the flattened tuning.. But I love your playing..
Yummy
Jody, thanks. I learned a lot just listening. Now I need to sit at my steel and get this in my head.
What song is this?
@Ronnie_boy14 Making Believe
@ thank you

For anyone who loves this- you CAN learn it! Pedal steels rarely sell for less than $2,000, but "lap steel" 6 or 8 string guitars can be had for $150. This is how all of us started out. If you find yourself playing lap steel a lot, then move up to pedal. Your skills learned playing lap will translate perfectly to pedal. Notice he did "bar bends", we do that on lap steel, and pro's like Buddy Emmons often used them even on pedal steel. And here's something cool, I own 2 "Universal 12 string" pedal steels with 7 pedals and 5 knee levers, but often pick my old beat up Morrell 8 string lap tuned C6 and jam for hours! Not enough steelers around anymore, get one for your kid's, they'll have a blast! And maybe be pedal steel pros someday.
Beautiful! And your use of bar bends tells me you started off on lap steel like so many of us.
Nice work and cool tune. Thanks Jody.
My uncle was Hal Rugg!

Great playing Jody.
LOVELY TOUCH !! JODY
It would be great if someone could tag these Licks for us not so talented players. 🥺
Lovely, nothing beats that for a Louving bros track. How can i get this backing track please
I’m sorry Tony, I lost that track in a computer crash. I made it myself.
@@jodycameron8126 ok, thanks any way.
PLEASE HELP ME!!! NOTHING sounds like an old Sho-Bud or Bigsby guitar... Things seemed to get too complicated and "smooth" by the 1970s... Great rendition, by the way!
Now that's pure country music
When I was a kid I used to sing city lights in a culvert under our road that we lived on. It was my reverb and delay back then. I have a sho bud double neck and enjoy playing it now and then. I am not as good as you. I don't play the c6th at all. Wish I had someone to jam with here in the wilds of Idaho.
Loved the story of the culvert Frank! Come to TX and visit, and we can jam.
Great playing. and nice bibs. Keep slidin
Very nice ! It's happy to see your technics for playing (hand and feet). jo (FRANCE°

An Emmons can only do so much. Sounds like it has an awesome operator at the strings! Great Jody as always!
Thanks David!
Great playing on a beautiful fingertip model. Nice! I wish I had one.
Great Jody! Love it!!
Thank you David
Man that sounds gooood!! Love the tones you’re getting with that axe.
Glad you like it!
You make it look so easy.
Sweet.
Love those Sho Bud steels... ❤😎
Something to aspire to..
Super clean playing..and that jazzy / bluesy riff towards the latter part of the middle(1:00) was sweet
Good Lord that's great playing!

@@jodycameron8126 : Sorry I’m not on FB much anymore, too many stalkers… ugh… but I wanted to say hi 👋 and compliment your steel guitar skills 👍🙂
Love this instrument. Great job!
Volume is great on this one. Great playing! Love your channel! ❤
Really cool stuff! You might consider running the audio through a compressor so we can hear it a little better, but it's fabulous either way. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah this one is just through my cell phone.
Might you know where to buy strings on line? A place that knows what a steel guitar is. Thanks.

Holy cow, this is cool! What instrument is this, I've never seen one before?
That’s a pedal steel guitar. It’s such a beautiful instrument mostly played in country music though also used less often in other genres 😊
wowie!
Love it!
Thanks David!
Nice playing. That thing would cost a fortune today.
