I remember when the Dirt Band first came out with this in the sixties and have always loved it. At that time I wasn't even familiar with JJW and wouldn't be until mid seventies.

Great tribute to Jerry Jeff from one of his earliest Key West mates and who remained a friend for life and after. Jimmy has often said, both before and after Jerry Jeff's death, that had he not accepted a lift in Jerry Jeff's 47 Packard, he wonders how his future may have flourished, if at all.

I wish they would record this in a studio. I would definitely buy the CD. Have loved Emmylou for decades. No female singer will ever surpass her. Love the accordion and mandolin.
