#imperialcollegelondon #theethanexperience Hey guys! My name is Ethan and I'm really excited to share this video and I hope you guys will enjoy it. I did make this video in a rush for those of you who are deciding where to go right now, so I hope to bring higher quality videos in the future once I have the time to do my edits and film more. Thank you for watching this video and please leave any...
To deal with mental health is simple. Go to gym 3 times a week and a fun social club. Also put things into perspective, people in ww2 were your age fighting and dying. This is a walk in the park in comparison
hi l would like to ask does this mean geology is a degree that will be looked down on or regard as a not good degree at imperial
Imperial is the next best thing to Cambridge
I want join in imperial for my second masters degree in human genetics. Guys if you’ve any suggestions for me on choosing between UCL, Kings college and Imperial.
Plan to pursue my master degree in entrepreneurship at Imperial, but I'm afraid to become a small fish in the big pool :(
Thank you for your video! I am in the midst of deciding between UCL or Imperial to do my Masters? But I am in two minds, I am currently a UCL student and thinking it would be best to stay or have a university change for my master's. Do you have any advice?
but is it worth 40k pounds per year?
I'm in my first term at the moment and my luck has been terrible. Lots of interruption for a variety of life-altering events. I've reached out to the Senior Tutor and they've referred me to the councillor, but I was wondering if there's anything you'd personally recommend doing to get caught up with the course when you feel far behind due to uncontrollable circumstances?
Imperial is too racist and breaks the law to international students. Sad I had joined them. Bullying, harassments and privacy braking.
Imperial is too racist and breaks the law to international students. Sad I had joined them.
Don't agree with that statement, Imperial is extremely well known in parts of Asia, specifically the former Commonwealth countries.
Hey. Hey I know you just pause but not stop. Watching from Thailand.
Ethan, when you applied you gotta to send them all the documents?
Yes
I’m going to study Chemistry in imperial in a month, thanks for the video!
Hi, I wanted to ask what ranks your friend Rachel was talking about, for the salaries after graduating. I tried looking it up but it didn’t show up.
i absolutely lost it when yall started roasting geology
I could watch you guys all day, especially luc 😂 Most likely will accept imperial because of you guys! :)
I have an offer to study mechanical engineering but I'm not sure if I should accept it as I don't know enough about what it's like to live in London as a student. Could you tell me what students do on weekends ect...? Can students afford the pubs and clubs?
thanks this was really reassuring!
Lmaoo im a first year taking chem eng and covid makes the entire thing not ideal but im still trying :D
Thanks so much Ethan for sharing! It really helps!
Oranh indonesia yaa
This is really interesting and a good insight so thanks for making these videos, just got an offer for biochem and looking forward to going to imperial! :)
Congratulations!!!! Yay 😁
I've got an offer for biochem this year, did you end up going to imperial if so how are you finding it :)
@@alicebenfield no I didn't sorry I'm at Bristol instead doing chemistry !
@@gl0wsticks659 you doged a bullet, i dropped out of imperial biochemistry. its a terrible course
@@alicebenfield hope you didnt accept your offer
Hey Ethan, I have my Imperial interview coming up and I'm really stressed about it and the consequent steps in the admission process. It'd be great if I could talk to you about your experience :)
Hey Anshul! Yes absolutely hmu on instagram. In fact, you just gave me a great video idea!
@@theethanexperience6097 I'm so glad dude. Interviews are probably the most daunting part of the application. I deleted my instagram a couple of months back though smh. Any other way I could reach you?
@@royanshul what course are you doing?
Imperial is very dead this year unfortunately- 1st year medic
It’ll get better! Join more clubs and societies!
Have to be honest, some courses at Imperial are harder, especially at the Masters level. MSc CS or Maths at Imperial takes over your life.
How seriously does Imperial take extenuating circumstances? For my predicted grades, I'm one grade off the minimum requirement for electrical engineering, but I had mental health issues in year 12 which meant I didn't do as well as I hoped. Does Imperial care about extenuating circumstances at all? Could I still potentially get an interview, give that the course isn't that competitive and the rest of my application is good? Thanks!
Hey Rodin, Im sorry to hear that you had mental health issues that you had to deal with which resulted in a score you didn’t want. Unfortunately, Im afraid this isn’t a question I can answer for you. Only admission will know and I believe you will have to email imperial yourself. However, If you have mental health issues you might be able to apply with disabilities, which will put you in a different category when applying? Im not 100% sure. I hope this helps and good luck with the rest of your application!!
It is hard but very rewarding. If you want to do it you will. :)

Funny stuff man keep it up 😂
Hey, thanks for this video. I am from latinamerica and i really don't know what means A-levels. I am still in high school, i graduate of school next year and i want to apply to Imperial, un Chemistry degree. I search and there are like two types somenthing like Bsc? And MsC? (Sorry If write it wrong, My English is not good). It will very helpful for me if You reaply this message. I have more questions anyway... Also, which type of grades i need to apply? The stuff of A-levels. I am thinking on traveling to UK mostly for July,to search that university and other one which is the UEA thats on Norwich, maybe You can tell me anything else i can do when i arrive there. Thanks a lot for reading this and sorry If it's too much (I am 16, on July also i will be 17)
So you will be applying to BSc which is a bachelor degree when you apply after highschool. You need to check what grades your school is using and if imperial accepts that grade. I don’t know what grading system you’re doing right now so I can’t answer that. Traveling will be harder right now due to covid but I would suggest just walk around the schools that you are interested in. In addition, there are english exams that you’ll have to take like IELTS and TOEFL to get in, so you might want to study English as well before you apply. An adequate english level is crucial to your studies in university.
A-Levels are the exams taken by most 18-year-olds in the U.K. before they finish high school. They determine whether you get into certain universities or not. Most people taken 3 subjects whilst some do 4 and they are measured using the grading system A*-U (A* being the highest grade you can achieve)
Love the imperial's focus on academics, I have been here for probably two months, this is much better than my previous university. I am very substantial every day.
Lol what does that even mean mate
@@jermainej1746 think he’s saying that he likes the academic focus and that helps him be more productive. Probably a foreign student lol
It was really helpful, but as an Arab did u guys face any racism?
Hey. I would say I have not really experienced any racism here besides only one occasion but that wasn’t even racism exactly..hard to explain. However, in general London and Imperial is super diverse. People are generally very open minded!!
@@theethanexperience6097 thank uu , i have to say im a bit relieved
You are so good in tennis, wow how can i contact you do you have instagram or facebook? Can we be friends?

What is MIT?
May I ask do u know where to get the best pesto spaghetti in the world🤔🤔😂
HAHAHAH hands down regent taipei
colleges and universities nowadays are more like Chinese re education camps man. its sad. we should develop out tech within this century and got eyes on the ball not social bs
You are really something。you amaze me!
I will support whatever u do
Dear Ethan, you've been working hard on this channel, keep up the great job, so proud of you, and I am big fan of yours!
Thanks dad, appreciate the support
Hey I am planning on applying to imperial for my Msc, any tips and advices for my interview and in general
Hey I think for your interview just relax and if you’re applying masters and continuing on what you’ve been learning in undergraduate then I think you’ll be fine. Just be prepared to be asked some questions and try to work them out to the best of your ability. Some questions you’re not supposed to get right but they wanna see your process of solving the questions! Hope this helps!
I like that Imperial cares the most about academics, universities should care about academics than student health 👌🏻 that is the way it is, otherwise it will be a mess
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Rock on!!! so proud of you.
Good words, thank you.

Hey I'm gonna be starting Chemistry as a 1st year next month, very excited! Just wanted to ask, how much and what kind of physics do you learn in the course? Also, which ancillary module did you take and how did you find it in comparison to the core modules?
I didn't really need any physics to be honest. I have only taken the basic physics course in high school and I was fine. The only thing you need is probably wavelength and frequency equation which will be used heavily in spectroscopy.
I took medicinal chemistry instead of maths and physics. Medicinal chem was my worst module, I really didn't enjoy the content. I would recommend doing something else in the horizon course for your ancillary, such as language, business or philosophy. However, if you're interested in the ancillary chemistry modules then you should try them!
I'm glad you're excited about joining Imperial chemistry :) if you ever run into any problems feel free to reach out.
@@theethanexperience6097 Thanks v much. I don't really know much about either of the chemistry ancillaries atm but the horizons do look pretty interesting. what made you dislike the med chem option? Also what was the general impression surrounding the maths and physics option regarding the teaching and content?
It wasn’t very interesting, a lot of bio and i think it would have been better to take an easier course to reduce my workload. A lot of ppl who took M&P have taken physics and maths A levels so i think it was generally fine. Didn’t hear much complaint, the grade distribution was a lot better than med chem.
