This is like an adult movie that never moves past the 'witty banter' stage in so many ways.

When I was in 4th grade, Co-MC and Tommy Treehugger seemed like real ADULTS to me haha, now I see they’re just these goofy little kids lolol

This really bringing back some memories for me, what got me into comics was going to Pizza Hut (80-90s Pizza Hut was the BEST) and they had a free comic that kids could get, it also. Had a poster of Rouge in it that made my little heat beat speed up, those curves...i had that poster on my wall for YEARS. The animated was also just epic

This is my favorite episode of the show! I am glad though they get rid of Club Mario for future release though. For me, the original live segments with Captain Lou were as much a part of the show as the animated segments.

... it's... really bad. Almost painful to watch. Usually the "matches made in heaven" of low budget and even lower effort are at least entertaining to watch, but this is almost Canadian level of TV movie making.

For YEARS I thought that I dreamed about this. You know the ONE link that made me research it and look it up and actually find it? It was the black guy that played Mondo. I only remembered him because I was REALLY into Family Matters. And the same actor who played Mondo also played one of Steve Urkel's bullies in one of the seasons of Family Matters. So once I found him on Wiki, I looked at his history and figured out he made this. I remember watching this as it aired as a special presentation on Fox. I remember being disappointed because it wasn't X Men, and not knowing the characters, but it was superhero related. So I HAD to see it. I remember wondering, if they aren't going to put major characters in, why not use some of the B or C level villains that have SOME kind of notoriety. Like Arcade. Arcade was a GREAT villain for a movie with this vibe. The heroes are younger, and Arcade is a psycho who creates games to trap and off his enemies. Made perfect sense. Im also enjoying reading these comments from all these other people from my era. They were just other kids living other lives and im chuckling reading all the reasons people remember this, and the reasons the missed it, and the people who are FINALLY getting to see this. Makes me feel connected to a bunch of strangers.

I recorded this on VHS when it first aired, and about LOST MY MIND when I accidentally ruined the tape. I managed to successfully transplant the film reel into a Latter Day Saints promo video, only to lose it two decades later. I'm so glad to find it here on UA-cam!

Club Mario was never aired in the Philippines. They only aired the Super Mario Brothers, Super Show. Aired on ABS CBN 2 in 1990 as a Christmas special and then it aired in 1991

I've been looking for this movie for years. I never knew what it was titled, who made it or anything. I just remember it being related to a marvel film, but I didn't know (at the time) it was an actual marvel movie. I was in 6th grade. I remember watching it once and I was hoping to see it again but I never did. Thank you so much for bringing a lost piece of my childhood back. It means the world.
