Finest Guitar Slingers. I am starting off with an incredible guitar player, so versatile, in a wide range of instrument, many may not know him, but he is not to be missed, he is just that good. Jack Pearson was one of the six guitar players throughout the years with the legendary Gregg Allman Band. Today he continues to play with Gregg Allman at a variety of venues. Jack was part of the famous house band for the final Gregg Allman - All My friend that was record in Atlanta Live. Check out his slide work with Eric Church on All My Friends! The list of legendary artists Jack has played with goes on and on ... A sophisticated player, so fluid, musical styles range from blues/rock, jazz, country, bluegrass, pop and many more. One of the finest pickers out there, and his slide work is right up there with the best of them. Known in Nashville as the most versatile guitarist, he is just that good!

Outstanding
Followed many players in many genres over 60+ yrs…grew up in Jax. Fla. was one of the kids in the park summer of 68 as the Second Coming Duane and Greg etc. formed the ABB…only just heard JP recently..not to play the better best very best game this guy has it all..next level technically and seemingly endless variety of creative musical ideas..check out his bluegrass mando skills.
The dead should have gotten jack instead of Mayer. He would have been much more interesting.
JACK!
Nearly a minute and a half of crapping around before anything happens. Terrible balance but guitar is not bad at all.
I loved it!🍀
Jack is so chill, but so amazing at playing the notes flawlessly. He is also really fantastic with Tommy Emanuel on whipping post. Thank you for sharing one of the masters!!
THANK YOU LORD❤❤
Huge Jack fanbut this drummer is slammin in this video. Groove changes throughout! Completely changes the tone / vibe of the song.
Jazz bores the living shit out of me! Always has, always will. It's like a circle jerk with no pivot man..
Oh my! That's some sweet long-bowing. These guys stop me from getting enough sleep. I stay awake late playing their stuff over and over.
Gotta love Jack!
Very nice
amazing , but no cow bell....WTH
There aren't many in the history of music like jack pearson. He can play damn near any style, his voice is like butter like his hands on the fretboard or with a slide. They don't call him the best musician in Nashville just to say it.
Crazy good player .
0o
Awesome voice and song that is a blessing ❤
Great!
Classic song done by an exstrordinary musician!
This guy !! Wow !! Does he play live anymore?
Just found another hidden treasure! This guy is great!
Effortless ,incredibly economical movement of the fingers.superb.he not a bad singer too.
Jack is the guy that Dicky put his best foot forward when jamming together I believe both gentlemen had such respect for each others playen it was an unspoken inspiration when that amount of creative energies join together. Jack has mentioned in interviews the nuanced and subtleties Duane and Dicky had together, observing these 2 had the same thing, it's not that ego has a place in this, it's being gracious with each other allowing the space equally to be in unity as we are in the big picture of this life. Music is that vocabulary that teaches us so much as players, the more people we interact with the more creative we become. As men we ate to help one another to become our best. Lift each other up encourage each other share the knowledge. Because thats how a professional does it, thanks Jack.. awesome tune..
I want to say Duane did cause Dicky to be his best creative self also I just wasn't trying to compare them due to respect for Duane not having the chance to put 40 more years into his very very talented music. Nit fair to compare hands down Duane is one of the top 1 2 or 3 musicians that changed the face of the music and the crossover and blending of America's best.. MAGA
The only guitarist better than Jack is God !
Omg....this guy is probably the greatest unknown guitar player in the world. What an absolute beast!
He stole the crown for best unknown guitarist from Roy Bucannon ( R.I.P.)..But actually Jack has been around a while here in Nashville...If you ever get a chance to see him live at 3rd & Lindsey go by all means.🍄
I love his singing voice
Damn dude start playing decent guitars already! I know those guitars are light and cheap but you deserve to sound expensive and heavy!
Why?
I don’t see how fancy guitars would help. His tone is generally absolute perfection and the guitars seem to note out just fine. What else is there?
Love it
My goodness ! Instant relaxation !!!!
A long gone daddy in the USA.
I love Jack’s playing, effortless perfection…perfect southern gentlemen, master blues/jazzman…
What a beautifully sung and played rendition. Thank you for sharing this!
I taped the 1998 Allman Brothers pay-per-view with Jack Pearson killing it next to Dicky Betts. That is during the 2 years he got to "work with him" that he is talking about. I still listen to that VHS tape to this day. The ABB sound great with Jack in the lineup. This video is incredible !
The song is a powerful world of God memory and Bless of my Life Thank you Lord this time beautyful sound Hallelujah
I just came across this song on an old Jimmy Swaggert conference video with this man singing and I cannot put into words how it has blessed my heart. I found this and can now listen to it every day!
Very good. Very interesting. Several Dickey Betts licks and several of his own. He sings verv well, too.
Check out his stint with the Allmans. It was their prime post excluding the Duane and Berry days. I say that having come up going to see Derek and warren. I loved Panic in the houser era and trucks and warren were always around. But the Pearson all man bros era is incredible.
Dickey probably plays more of jacks licks
This song is so beautiful
I always learn something, listening and watching Jack Pearson play!
Fly❤️
One of my Fondest Memories of my mother is coming home and hearing her sitting at the piano singing this song. She had such a beautiful voice
Watch the tribute to Greg Allman at the fox theatre in Atlanta. All star line up but, Jack stole the show
He has GOT Reverend Gary Davis Jr. He has his style and the soul behind it. I've adopted some of Rev. Davis' style but you are his grandchild! Praise the Lord bro!
This is a great Blue Sky but you gotta hear what the Jaimoe Jazz Band went with this - added a horn section with a wailing tenor sax solo - totally killed it.
I use to play this song over and over again .. on my 8-track ... in my 74 Maverick
Blue Sky is stuffed with really ineresting Classic (Original) Country Riffs. Keyboards plays that lead solo great. Gotta love triplets over melodies and in solos. Read once in an Mid West empty auditorium early on they the Allmam Brothers did an entire concert of Jazz standards instead of their own music. Sound is a bit thin for phone mix. Could have remixed a little bit for the low end. But, otherwise very excellent especially for the lesson in the classic Daune & Dickey ideas..
the lost camera man ..
I can play better than this with both of my hands tied behind my back.
Feel free to upload your video anytime now asswipe
@@pumpkinking5174 I hope he was being sarcastic... Otherwise delusional.
I love Jack Pearson
sounds like dave mason..
Looks like Duffy Jackson (Count Basie orch) is sitting in on drums on this tune. I can’t imagine he was actually on the gig, but if you need something to swing, he’s the guy.
