very good and complete recording explained nicely to Understand step by step thx much. for you efferts.
Very Basic and not enough Info on the recording File format or how to rename or delete a file etc. some other people have better info in more detail Zoom should have a better job in explaining this mixer & Recorder eqpt.
There more video for other topic
My headphone has 3.5mm. Will 3.5mm to 1/4 Adapter works?
yes. on the video I was using the adaptor
Wish is was a 15 vs 15 comparison. So far the Proreck sounds the best.
yes 15 inch always have an advantage. Its pretty close but yeah I am surprise with the result cause the test was direct no mixer to pass thru
came here for the zoom, but had to stay for the music. Nice band, keep going!
glad you like it. Thank you
shame about the robot giving the tutorial
🤠😉👍
Sorry I fell asleep
Does it work with M1 MacBook?
yes it works with garage band
you might have recorded the sound low. Your raw file is what it is. Just raised the volume on your editing software
I hope someone can help, I transfered everything successfully but the volume is so low, why????
If the amps are on the same settings the 80gx is cleaner.
Yes you are right
Thank you for this info ❤
glad it helps
How do I connect a karaoke source to get a stereo?
You can use a stereo jack and plug it on channel 7 or 8 those are stereo inputs. You can also just plug 2 regular left and right jack on any channel and pan one in full right and one in full left channel
@@gonzaloforteza Thanks! I have one more question. I am using a Zoom LiveTrak L-8 mixer, and I have a question regarding channels 7 and 8. I have heard that each of them can receive stereo signal individually, and I can use the stereo jack to connect to these channels, while the mixer handles both the left and right channels. Could you please confirm this information Thank you in advance for your reply.
Yes channel 7 and 8 are stereo as long as you use stereo audio jack and source of signal is producing left and right signal.
@@soundwaveband2067 I'm completely confused. Have you figured it out? According to Zoom support, the 1/4" line inputs on channels 7 and 8 transmit only monophonic signals to the L-8. However, they function as stereo inputs in different modes, such as USB or phone input. I'm trying to determine if I can connect my piano, which has 2 line outputs (L/MONO, R), using a Y-shaped cable from two mono piano outputs to one large stereo jack per channel 7. Will this setup work?
@@Troevo I have use it many times as long as you plug a stereo jack and it will record left and right signal. Even mono jack will still record a left and right signal. Try it
😂😂😂😂
Good informative video but the flat AI type voice gets irritating
May I know the files of SD card can easily to save at the computer? Do I need to download some software before that?
you dont need a software just connect you usb (power cord) to computer and assigned the zoom livetract to usb mode check this video: ua-cam.com/video/xbwZnZZWj0Y/v-deo.htmlsi=WYmti-4fS9vECAmb
😮
Salamat
I would be grateful if you could create a tutorial on how to use Zoom L8 as an audio interface in OBS Studio for streaming on UA-cam. It is said that only two channels are available in OBS.
8I am not using OBS Studio but I think just connect your USB zoom livetract L8 to your pc and on OBS audio section (SOURCE) click on ASIO input and on the "Device" your zoom live tract should on the list. Then just add how many tracts/Channel you are goin g to use.
How can I connect my piano to the Zoom L-8 mixer to achieve stereo sound? The piano has two LINE OUT R, L/MONO outputs on the back panel, but when I connect it using two mono cables to the Line In jacks on channels 7 and 8, the output sound is in mono. Can you explain how to connect the piano for stereo sound?
Basic: you have to use 2 audio cable (connect to R and L/Mono) then connect it to any 2 channel (1 channel each cable) Pan one to the left and Pan one to the right. In other words you would have 2 channel being used to obtain the stereo sound.
Talk about a overly complicated way to do things. The Zoom is a USB audio interface and all your midi backing tracks can played over the USB connection from a sequencer or better yet a Laptop running either a DAW or--- what I do is sub mix my tracks to stereo split Drums & Keyboards Left /Bass Right. I run these back to 5/6. We are also a 2 piece band. You seem to be using a similar set up to what we used in the 80's and 90's. Sound modules are very outdated and way to much bother to connect when all you need now is a simple basic laptop. Gear list- Laptop, Zoom L8, 2 mikes and stands, 2 Powered speakers mains, 2 smaller powered speakers monitors.
I hear you, For simplicity is a yes. I used laptop before for my midi sounds before but there are much greater sound quality when you use a module to generate the sound that is why I have to do additional work to set up. Thanks for the input
@@guitar6591 I agree that any midi sounds played by a Computers sound card would be terrible. As I said I used sound modules for at least 15 years starting in 1986. I then switched to using a Mini Disk player and finally a laptop. Over this time span what has really improved the most is the quality of Midi instruments available as Virtual instruments. I have created is a "band" using good quality sample based VST instruments. Addictive Drums, Ample P bass Lite and then a few Keyboards I also like. I edit the midi file in Cakewalk and export a stereo or split mix. These I have been playing back on a small laptop. I just ordered the L-8 to replace my Mackie Mix 8. I will have 2 options I will try. Because it is an audio interface I will be able to play directly from the laptop into the mixer using the Digital USB connection. The other option I will try is to record my backing tracks into the L8 on the SD card and see how clunky it is to use. At least it might be a good back up or for if I do a real short set somewhere. Anyways, not trying to criticize what your doing just wasn't sure if you had considered the many other option the L8 can offer to you. Take Care and keep on playing.
Nice so your pretty much OG in sequencer/ midi yes you are right about how the midi sound had change. I am excited to see some of your video and set up. Let me know if you put some video
Thank You very much Guys Wonderful performance BTW Kabayan right?

This was helpful! I was confused by the manual. Multitracking on the L-8 is not as easy as it should be.
Glad it made it more informative for you. Thanks
Sir, paano set up ng live recording niyo? Via SD card po ba sa L8? Then niSync niyo na lang sa video?

Hi, Thanks a lot for the video. It is very clear and easy to understand, the information is much better than the one existing in the user manual. The texts included in the images are also very useful, and the speech has only the required information. Nice and effective video.
Can you undue and overdub?
Yes / No depending what you are trying to accomplished. If you re-recorded a new one on a particular channel.... that means NO, the old audio was overwritten with new recorded on the particular channel you over dub. But if your objective to do another recording on a particular channel, YES you can re-record again and again.
yeah! galing kuya🥰😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
How can I export an audio mixdown of a mix with the effects included? And without erasing or overwriting the individual tracks?
You need to have your mix channels (all channels that was used) recorded on Master channel that includes the effects and then transfer the file to other device like PC or phone
ua-cam.com/video/0iVj-fEn0H4/v-deo.html
@@guitar6591 So, the tracks recorded BEFORE should be in green in Play and the ones recording at the moment in Red Record. Then the Master Out in REC, and hit play too, right? [ Or all the tracks in REC? Ones in REC and the other ones in PLAY, I guess, otherwise if I have something connected to the inputs, I might record noises or overwrite what was recorded before]
@@thephoenixchant Yes all channel that you used to record with the settings of volumes, effects and EQ should all be green (play mode). Master should be RED as he will record all of channels that has green lights (the channel on play mode will not have noise from input as it is on play mode, your input are shot off), YOU HAVE TO ACTIVATE OVER DUP TO RECORD ON MASTER. STEPS: with all channel to include in the mix are all in green (play mode) Press overdub button, press record, press play
@@guitar6591 Thanks for the info! :)
You fellas sound fantastic. I'm jealous. I wish I sounded like you. Great mix.
You would enhance you sound too if you record your live performance and edit mix it. Recording directly will eliminate most of the noise background
How to clean connect headphone out to a powered monitor that takes balanced XLR input? Thanks for doing these videos it is very helpful and informative. The headphones out is unbalanced stereo out however most external monitor needs balanced mono XLR or 1/4 trss input.
There are audio cable that you can buy XLR to 1/4 stereo cable. Mono is fine too. You dont really need stereo for monitor
Respect!!! Need likes? Check *Promosm*!!!
I just bought this device do you know how to record a video with studio quality sound from device to phone for Instagram lives or youtube ect?
You have to have a video editing software like “video pad” you can combine your video and sound to upload
I just bought this I need to make videos with the studio quality sound is there a wire I need or a way to hook it up to phone or camera please let me know
you can use the zoom as your sound source into a video by just using output from head phone to your video or phone sound input
@@guitar6591 now i gotta find a free program to see levels so it doesnt clip
@@guitar6591 thank you
@GUITAR my other problem is mix is too loud in video is there's no subtle way to manage it from phone besides unplugging constantly . I was thinking maybe I could get a better dongel ? Any suggestions?
@@strangesevin just lower the volume in the mixer so it would not clip on your phone
