I really enjoyed this!! Something bothered me though. My grandmother grew up in that area and they all had very mild southern accents. Just wondered if you knew that?

This is the kind of journalism we need nowadays. No news no history books. The lives and accounts of those who lived through it. Diaries are time portals and I’m so thankful for sharing your story! ❤❤

First off, I want to thank you so much for sharing your family story. I really enjoyed listening to the podcast and watching the videos that have been put out. I have learned so much about life in America in the 30s. You both are so talented. Next, I need to thank you for getting me through C***d in November 2023! I thought I was going to lose my mind from fever, but between binging and concentrating on the podcast and my husband I got through it! Nothing else comforted me like you guys! I was able to imagine I was right there with Elizabeth! One thing I wanted to comment about in real time that I’m sure you know, is that it was common and encouraged for teens to date multiple people at once. I saw this in a neat video from UA-camr Karolina Zebrowska. Thanks again for this amazing project and I really hope y’all have something coming up- you have a lifelong fan right here!

Thank you for the love & work you put into transcribing & videographing. Yes, it's the story many of our families lived ... but very few documented as Elizabeth did.
