Beautiful catch buddy !
Fun times! I'm picking up a raft soon and can't wait for similar adventures!
Thanks for watching. Some of my favorite trips have been multi day floats
Mits is the fisherman of your trip
Getting outfitted by the kids is bittersweet
Bravo 😅
Why play with your food and you touched it without a glove to release it when you had it in a net most likely it'll die or diseased
Hey man, Great video. I grew up (Seattle) fishing the St Joe. River and have just started to explore the NF clear water and Kelly creek. Awesome to see some videos about it :)
Thanks for watching. We definitely live in a great area! Tight Lines
Great day on the water ! Was great seeing you guys on the river !
Thanks! You too!
That’s how it should be.
So was that stream in Montana? I fished the Yak but not many others up north.
Father Son fishing trips are the best you will ever get to do.
'promo sm' 💯
Cutbow
Trout, all day
Daddy got dinner🎉
Nice fish bro where is this at? It’s a beautiful place.
Steelhead
Trout. Steelhead and salmon are uglier lol. Have to get tagged. All from same family. Very nice catch
Rainbow trout

A steel head is a trout?
Cut throat trout!! Damn nice one!!

Good video, but doesn't everyone get tired of crummy music. Sorry guys!
Thanks for watching! This is one of my early videos and you're right, the music is terrible LOL!
Awesome I love the quality of the videos🤘🏻 Wish you many Fish in 2024
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed.
I mean, pike are still considered a cold water fish, so clearly cold water species. Haha you get toothy predators, big ole salmon, and pretty trout; what’s not to love?!
No, it’s definitely not.
im not sure how that campground or spot is set up but as sad as it is people often leave trash and stuff behind at some of the places i have camped in the past including multiple chairs and even a popup gazebo thing , a chair isn't a really good placeholder for a spot and (again the places i camp at) a un attended truck could be multiple different things, such as someone just out day fishing or someone going for a hike or an atv excursion (if thats available in the area). maybe all that is irrelevant and there are different things to consider in your case but you didn't give much context.
There's a long drawn out story that goes with this one. But I definitely learned my lesson on this trip. Thanks for watching!
That whitefish looks really beefy.
yes... trick photography.
Boy do I miss sunshine and greenery lol
Yep! Just finished shoveling the driveway, and sidewalks, and back patio... Ready for trout season.
Love the cinematography and beautiful landscape
You can ride in my boat any time.
Nice recap Kevin! Love your brown take on your dry.... Thanks for the great outings and friendship.
Where are you in the world these days? Hope full timing is treating you well.
@@samuraifisherman5570 I'm still in the PNW area. FT Life is Good!
Nice recap Kevin. I wish you many outings in 2024!
Thanks for watching.
Looks like you found the mother lode👍
Yes, and I actually went back two weeks later and found more in the same spot.
No grayling?
Sadly just a white fish.
@@samuraifisherman5570 I’ve never caught one but I work on the Goodpaster River on Alaska and it’s full of them.
Great video man!! And, if I can say it, at least you DO look at the LENS of the camera and not "over there" at the viewfinder like so many others do!! That said, how is access on the N Fork?! I'm a St Joe guy myself but did fish that river in pieces back in the '90's before it and Cd'A got "discovered" and now there's SO many transplants buying up the property and denying access!!
Thanks for watching. I don't have a "fllippy" screen so it's easy to look at the lens. I actually use my reflection to compose.
You hitting it this year? Sounds like a big run this year and I've already hooked a couple, hard to get out between classes & work though.
I have not been down yet this year. I need to get after it.
Hey man, you in the Spokane area? I'm trying to do the same as you, build a channel. Maybe we can collaborate sometime!
love your videos. are you local to North Idaho?
Spokane... But I do 90% of my fishing in Idaho
Very cool, im in Post Falls, do you use onx to locate new spots or is it mnore word of mouth? @@samuraifisherman5570
Tough to get a campground? If you go mid-week Wednesday or Thursday able to find spots? any recommended campgrounds? Trying to head out next week.
Tough? Not really. We were after a specific dispersed spot with a fishing hole that is pretty heavily used. Mid week will definitely be easier. Have a great time
Great videos Kevin. I like that you made the trip in 3 videos. Nice to see you guys out in the river and exploring! Making memories...
Thanks @notavailable123
Mind if I ask what flies the pike were biting on?
Just a conehead rabbit strip leech. Chartreuse or pink
@@samuraifisherman5570 thanks!
What a spot to camp dude !!! Great video.
Thanks! This spot was in my top 5 all time.
Great video.
That brown at 3:20 was gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! New subscriber.
Yes it was. I love the browns and I don't catch them very often. It was a nice treat.
Everybody can learn how to release a fish from your son. Keep them low and in the water. Job well done!
Yes, He's always been very conscientious about fish handling.
Sorry to hear about your GoPro. One time I left two broken down rods and reels on top of my jeep in the garage, and of course the next time I drove the Jeep I forgot they were there never to be seen again. It hurts for a second but all those things can be replaced as I’m sure you know .👍 Love how you spend time with your family. I’ll be passing thru your area on my way to Montana and Idaho in a few weeks.
Have a good trip.
Same area just a few days behind you with my oldest. Looks like you were fishing the main river... tributaries were definitely the way to go. Of the couple of dozen we had on the line through the day, half came from a single run, and nearly all were nymph, not dry. Not the normal cuttie day, but it was some epic fishing. Water was just moving too fast in the main.
Thanks for watching! Glad to hear you had a good day. Definitely zigged when I should have zagged.
you were so close! hope you ended up finding it.
Unfortunately I was not successful. But you may have given me motivation to go back and explore again.
@@samuraifisherman5570 Most of the access will be over grown with weeds right now. I like to go in the winter for that reason. I got a 26" trout from that system back in February.
Would you ever be interested in teaching someone to fly fish? I’m a spinning/bait caster type but wanna get into fly
Sorry for the delayed response. Let me begin by saying that I am not a licensed or insured guide. With that said I pretty much have an "open boat" policy and am willing to fish with anyone at least one time.
