Ah, yes. I just updated the description with my Questlog link. It includes all my skill pages, planned runes, and gear sets. Current Gear (More Defense) was used for mobs. Current Gear (More DPS) was used for bosses.

Hello, the other 8% shield block chance comes from a Sword mastery on the top row.

And thank you. If you do choose SnS as your 3rd weapon, SnS/Bow also has similar strengths and a similar playstyle to SnS/Staff. And of course, you already know first hand how good Staff/Bow is.

Oh yeah, I've actually tried SnS/Bow myself. It has a lot of similar strengths and a similar playstyle to SnS/Staff. (Both builds are tragically underrated tanks. In both PvE and PvP.) And yeah, in parties I'll normally block the frontal smash instead of sidestep it. But, in that video I was trying to kill him solo and he has an Enrage timer. Was trying to do as much damage as possible at all times. (Didn't matter because I died to dashes anyway lol.) There is also a cheese you can do with the dashes, that I did not cover in the video. If you get him to dash partway into the arena barrier, he'll get stuck and no longer travel while dashing. He can still hurt you sometimes if you're right up in his face though. And he'll stay stuck until totems, or the tank moves too far away.

I'll definitely give it a try. My masteries on SnS/Staff are maxed, so I'm currently dumping xp in GS/Bow for now. I think SnS/Spear & Staff/Spear would both be pretty strong.

I pretty much never use it tbh. The only time I would is maybe for something like castle siege with a lot of evasion dps in my party.

As for the exhaustion, it's simply just rambling in real time and trying my best to edit the audio after. I'll have to try writing up a script or something. And yeah, SnS/Staff is awesome combo. It's an S tier tank no doubt, and a very strong dps.

I have terrible luck with RNG. I was trying xbow daggers and was struggling bad following builds. Dropped money on the Phantom wolf pieces hoping it would help but still don't feel good. But I'm hopeful that is will be the build that feels right for my play style lol

@@thereno1173 Sorry to hear that. Hopefully SnS/Staff fits what you're looking for. I'm normally a tank/melee main, but I've greatly enjoyed the hybrid mix of Range/Magic + Tank/Melee. It's one of my top 3 favorite tank builds of all mmos I've played. I plan to make a short guide for open world dungeons, and a tanking guide/tips for dungeon runs too.

@@darkness2in I seen that in another comment! I'm excited to watch that video! Yea only only really played tanky characters before except wow I had fun with hunter. Never could figure out rogue though and I guess still can't with xbow and daggers lol so I'm very hopeful for this class haha

I could be wrong here since I haven't played much SnS/Wand at 50, but here goes. Depending on your Damage Reduction, I believe you need at least 22k HP/False HP or so to survive the attack. For SnS/Wand to survive it once, you might need Blessing of Immortality, Stalwart Bastion, and Invincible Wall. If that's not enough, you might need Blessed Barrier too. To survive it multiple times, you'd need to pop Defense Remedies while Stalwart Bastion & Blessing of Immortality are on CD. These are just guesses though. It's possible Blessed Barrier and Invincible Wall might be strong enough on their own. In which case Stalwart Bastion, Blessing of Immortality, and defense remedies would not be needed.

The Mage? I use Controlling Rake since it has a delayed CC. I wait for her to start saying, "I will end your life!" And immediately use Controlling Rake--aimed away from walls so it can travel the max distance. That gives enough time for her CC immunity buff to end, so Controlling Rake can come back and interrupt her. You do have to have a decent Collision chance for it to be reliable though.

Oh yes, I forgot to talk about this in the video. Early on, I don't think Manaball Eruption is worth using. But, once you get some mana regen traits and Manaball Eruption to Epic, it becomes really good for extra damage. I often replace Resilient Mind with Manaball Eruption. Especially when running as a DPS and/or main-handing Staff. And of course, I'll pop an MP regen potion and food.

Yeah it's really crazy. Even with just Fireballs, Smokescreen, and Fireball Barrage--Cleaving Roar allows you to kill a large pack of adds pretty quickly by yourself. And if you're in a party running full AOE, everything melts. Another good thing about Cleaving Roar, it doesn't have the aggro Provoking Roar does. So you can take it running as DPS and not cause the tank trouble.

Take a few minutes and really think about it. Do you truly believe this was done with loot in mind? Think about it. But don't think too hard. You might hurt yourself.

Yeah, I'll never understand meta slaves myself. If you like a certain class, who cares if it's meta or not? You can still make it good with time and effort. Oh that's really interesting! I have been wanting to try out an ice/lighting build myself, but I gotta finish maxing out my fire skills first.

@ Yh try it out. I run with a dedicated friends group off which one of them runs dps with thundercloud on the daggers, and even that person almost crits double after frost is applied.

@@kriseightyfive5854 Will definitely give it a try. At the very least I think I plan to swap between ice/lightning & fire/lightning builds depending on the situation. I think ice might be better for pvp too.

I completely agree. Sometimes clearing the same dungeons over and over in a party starts to feel dull too. Especially if they're really quick runs. Going for solo attempts keeps things interesting.
