Nowhere near as strong as the original though. Meatloaf doesn't have the voice to perform this like Rory Dodd does on the original.

Much as I think Meatloaf had a great voice, this song doesn't suit it. Steinman got it so right with Rory Dodds on the original.

Rory Dodd is stellar here

This was always my favourite Meatloaf song. With him passing, I know it might sound strange but it feels like someone I was related to has died. I grew up with his music, seeing him in films and his songs soundtracked my life. Him dying never crossed my mind, and now as I type this I feel silly but I had to get it off my chest. I will forever be grateful for the music he made and the joy it brought to me.

My late husband looked a lot like Meat Loaf, and his music always reminds me of Todd. Now they're both gone. But the music lives on.
