This might be a bit random but I am from Germany and we are learning about this in the 12th grade. In America does this mechanism and this level of chemistry get taught in the 12th grade or does it get taught earlier or later?

Hydrogen can make more than one bond, but not only with its lone electron. Ice is great example, H is bound to O with covalent bond, but since O is keeping the electrons closer to itself it leaves the H back side slightly positively charged, which allows it to bond weakly to negatively charged atoms, like another H2O's Oxygen's negative back side. In liquid water that hydrogen bond gives water the surface tension, and lower its temp to form crystalline structure as ice crystals. Anyway, I'm sure all of you know that. I just wondered why no molecular model kit handles polar bonds?

had you used the whole package of cloves you might have gotten two phases in the first place without the need for ether extraction. Instead of ether you could have used warm coconut oil and then used this for an antiinflammatory and fragrant ointment.

This is what i want in a teacher: to be on point, no useless society examples in teaching, on point lecture about topic, understanding of what a student will understand and how, showing different examples. One thing you forgot to teach us is where we can use these formula
