bansheezs, I hate to break it to you, but every product Chrysler has made even before Fiat bought them out was and is a piece of crap. My ex used to own a Chrysler dealership and said they were shit cars, riddled with issues before they left the assembly line. My grandmother, she's in her mid 80's, said that they had a dodge and it was shit, it always left her and her family stranded. Chrysler just can't get safety and reliability down. Of course there are 1:1,000,000 exceptions to this rule. And don't get me started on their Public Relations. They don't care about their customers. Recalls are cheap, pathetic, ineffective, attempts or they put the blame on their customers. Anything under the Chrysler brand name is the epitome of a communist nation's quality. Oh, wait, this is a communist country. Haha! If you insist on an American vehicle, Ford has really gotten their shit together in the last 7-8 years. GMC/Chevrolet still has some work to do on electronics and transmissions. They're all pretty vehicles for sure. And I am pleased-ish to say that Toyota Tacoma and Tundra are built in Texas. I am not partial to any one company per se, I am just stating facts. Every auto manufacturer has its ups and downs. Some just happen to have more downs than ups.

So your sample size of 1 (grandma) is enough to prove all Chrysler vehicles are crap. I think every vehicle has their share of problems some more than others. The patriot and compass would probably be on the lesser side of number of problems. I think it really depends on the vehicle itself than just the manufacturer.

bansheezs, it's the track record that Chrysler has held over the decades that I am talking about. I mentioned my grandmother because this was an earlier time in the company's existence and they were still problematic them as they are now. Manufacturers are adding more and more complex components to vehicles and that certainly doesn't help realizability. Quality and source origin of those parts and place of assembly also plays a role. As I said, it isn't JUST Chrysler products that have issues, it's everyone. Some are minor bugs that need sorting and some are just product designs that don't work. It's important that auto manufacturers learn from their mistakes and invest in solutions for those problems and part of that is listening to the people who spend their hard earned money on their products. FCA does neither of those things. They throw things out and don't care about the consequences. Google Search "Oregon Live Jeep Fire Related Deaths" for an example. They only just RECENTLY resolved the issue behind this after nearly 20years.

+cobrahaxxx They're just a warmed over Fiat 500L And you know what Fiat means - Fix it again, Tony. These vehicles are garbage. They have a ton of problems. That whole company has had more serious problems with their vehicles in the last 4 years than anyone else, maybe even combined. One even came from the factory with NO OIL! It siezed up on the owner and could have gotten them killed. Yet everyone's raising a big stink about VW diesels..... This car is a lemon. Do not risk your life and drive it! For the same price, get yourself an 09 - 11 Toyota FJ Cruiser.
