Amazing Video! In my opinion it would be helpful if you talked about the pitch accent or had it included with the hirigana. Also aatleast for me having the romanji made it easy for me to "cheat" and not use the hirigana it may help woth immersion to just have the hirigana.

I'm not sure where the tradition came from, but every year on January 1st, we eat cabbage to bring prosperity and black-eyed peas to bring good luck.
