@McgurganatorZX thanks I've never seen this before, I don't necessarily agree that it's a alternative form to crystal lizards but I do agree that it was inspired by it. Let me take a crack at it as a dark souls vet and my long time experience with this game. When you die in dark souls you lose humanity, humanity/darkness is the true self of the world and the flame is blasphemous, perpetuated by the lie of u ending life but in reality it's contrived life, imprisoned life.

@McgurganatorZX when humanity is expunged sometimes it binds itself to power, in this case and item. A vagrant is born when 3 or more players die to a certain mob and lose humanity from that death, the server then corrupts a nearby item making a vagrant egg. (The vagrant egg as poised in that video are very similar to other eggs in dark souls series, this is from the fact that all the dark souls games are on different timeliness from the shattered existence. Basically until the dark soul removes the lie of the flame we are destined to shatter the timeline. Vagrants was an abandoned expansion of online systems unfortunately, it saw some resurgence when the servers were brought back but it had long been abandoned. Basically if you think of a pilgrim from ds3 rhat turn into the big darkness angels. It's all just brooding humanity that grows and is manipulated.
